A huge thank you to the farriers, judges, and organizers dedicated to advancing the craft of farriery. Proper hoof care changes lives for horses, and we’re honored our horses could help support hands-on education and certification. O2O (owner to owner) listing 🐴 Meet #1

This gorgeous 12-year-old thoroughbred (unraced) mare is ready to take on the world! She is a blank slate, having received little handling through her life, although friendly and curious. #1 is one of nine horses currently seeking placement through our O2O program following the tragic passing of one owner, which has left the remaining elderly owner unable to continue their care. #1 will make a great prospect for any discipline with the right training and support. We cannot wait to see all that is in store for her future!

Our summer interns have officially arrived at the farm! ☀️ They will spend the summer gaining animal husbandry experience, learning how to recognize equine cruelty and neglect, and receive training in rehabilitation and equine management. 🐴

This summer we have 3 residential interns living at the farm- Paola from Puerto Rico, Abri from Missouri, and Sarah from New York!

We also have a non-residential program for
Maryland natives! Peyton joins us from the Baltimore area.

This Memorial Day, we pause to honor and remember the courageous men, women, and animals who gave their lives in service to our country. 🇺🇸

As we spend time with family, friends, and our four-legged companions, we are grateful for the freedoms their sacrifice helped protect.

From everyone at DEFHR, thank you to those who served, and we remember those who never made it home.

Golfers NEEDED! ⛳

We are getting CLOSE to a sold-out field for DEFHR’s 5th Annual Equine Welfare Charity Golf Tournament on June 11 at Worthington Manor Golf Club — and we would LOVE to fill the remaining golfer spots! 🏌️‍♂️

If you’ve been thinking about golfing and want your favorite excuse to spend a day out of the office to also do some good for horses in need, now is the time to grab your foursome and join us for a really fun day supporting the 125+ horses cared for annually at Days End Farm Horse Rescue.

And while most of our major sponsorships have officially SOLD OUT (thank you supporters!!), we still have hole sponsorships available — and honestly these are one of the easiest and most meaningful ways to be part of the day.

Hole sponsorships are just $150 and can be used to:
• celebrate a graduating senior
• honor a favorite horse
• recognize a beloved pet or family member
• highlight your business
• simply show support for the horses
