🐢 Now that they’re settled in, let’s talk about Mudbug & Stinkbug! ❤️

Our two Common Musk Turtles (Sternotherus odoratus) are officially settled in, and we couldn’t be happier to have them as part of the Bushy Boar family!

These little turtles are one of Salena’s absolute favorite turtle species, and it’s easy to see why! Despite their small size, musk turtles have so much personality. They’re primarily aquatic, spend much of their time exploring the bottom of their habitat, and typically only grow around 3–5 inches in shell length!

We’re excited to share more about these amazing little turtles and show everyone why sometimes the smallest residents leave the biggest impressions. ❤️🐢

Welcome home, Mudbug & Stinkbug! 🖤

🔥🐍 THE FIRE NATION LIVES ON THROUGH HOT TAMALES. 🐍🔥

Copper scales, ember-colored patterns, and the presence of a creature forged in flame. Hot Tamale looks like he crawled straight out of the Fire Nation, ready to reclaim his throne.

Some snakes wear their colors. This one wears the FIRE. 🌋🧡

🐢💚 Meet Stinkbug & Mudbug! 💚🐢

These two common musk turtles (Sternotherus odoratus) have officially joined the Bushy Boar family! They may be small, but they’re a big deal to us because this is Salena’s favorite turtle species! ❤️

One of the smallest freshwater turtle species, with personalities that prove great things come in small packages! 🐢

Welcome home, little ones! 🧡

🚨 BUSHY BOAR BREAKING NEWS 🚨

Glue Trap has escaped. 😂😭

We are currently searching the entire animal room for a 2-inch gecko the color of landlord-grade beige paint who fears absolutely NOTHING and apparently pays zero rent.

Last seen? Chilling in his enclosure like he owns the place. 💀

If found, please do not approach. He has no survival instincts, no fear, and clearly no respect for property boundaries.

Glue Trap, your rent is overdue. COME HOME. 😂🦎
