I looked outside and caught these two working together to care for our pasture. 🫶🏽
I hadn’t asked them to scoop p**p, and there was no payment waiting when they finished. Just a girl caring for her horse and a brother who knew it was hot and didn’t want his little sister doing the work alone.
Hudson is our daughter’s horse, but her brother stepped in to help care for him and the goats—and to care for his sister along the way. Such a simple act, but it meant so much to this momma.
Working side by side gives them more than a cleaner pasture. It gives them time together, opportunities to chat and build their sibling bond, a chance to serve one another, and little opportunities to grow in kindness and love.
I am far from a perfect parent. Trust me, I know that. But raising God honoring, kind, loving, hardworking kids is the goal. A solid education matters, and I want them to do their best. Their integrity and the way they treat others matter every bit as much to me.
Today, I got a little glimpse of those lessons taking root. ❤️
