Since September is Su***de Prevention Month, we thought we’d share some facts to raise public awareness. The sobering reality is that the veterinary profession has one of the highest su***de rates among all professions. Some of the reasons for this are compassion fatigue, burnout, high student debt, verbal abuse and unrealistic expectations from pet owners. Mental health problems in our field have become so common that there is an organization called Not One More Vet that focuses on transforming the status of mental wellness. Education and awareness are key.

Please remember to treat our staff with kindness and respect. Abuse towards our staff members will not be tolerated. We are here to help you and your pets!
