The hardest part of loving a pet is knowing that, someday, we have to say goodbye.

Pet loss is one of those parts of pet ownership, and veterinary medicine, that we often try not to think about. It’s heartbreaking, deeply personal and can be difficult to navigate. But it’s also something so many of us experience and something we believe deserves just as much care, compassion and support as any other part of the journey.

We wanted to share some pet loss and grief support resources for anyone who may be navigating this difficult season, whether your loss was recent or happened years ago. We hope these resources offer a little comfort, understanding or simply a reminder that your grief is valid and you don’t have to navigate it alone.
