This is why I won't board my dogs. I worked at so many facilities that did everything possible to cover up dog injuries. Places that knowingly put dangerous dogs in groups. Places that attempt to treat wounds themselves to avoid vet costs and try to cover them up before owners pick up. This is why I started pet sitting! Because these places want money. I want to help pets. I want to keep them safe. I want to love them like my own and know they are not in danger. There is only one boarding facility in our area that I trust, ABC out in Kellner, WI. Places I have experienced, share dog treats between dogs. If you send a package of treats, they take out 2 for each day the dog is expectwd there, they pack the rest back up and throw the 2 per day into a community treat bucket. There are places that also won't put your beds and toys in with the dogs. They give their own small blanket or sheet and keep yours packed because if the dog has an accident during the 12 hour night(YES ALMOST ALL KENNELS MAKE THEM GO 12 HOURS) they do not want to wash the dogs stuff and in case of destruction they dont want to clean it up. These things bothered me so much, I now provide the best care possible to my clients. I care for pets exactly as my clients ask and I go above and beyond anytime I can because your pets deserve it!
