Thanks for calling, Smokey! Our front desk just received a phone call from a feline named Smokey who did quite a lot of meowing into the phone. We could hear his Mom in the background calling him Smokey and mentioning snack time, but it sounded like Smokey had not told his mom he was using her cell phone to call the vet. Thanks for checking in with us, Smokey, but make sure your mom has unlimited data if you are making a lot of calls, okay?

Check-ups for everybody! Here are Cinder, Freya, Fiona, Lily, and Deja all waiting patiently on the lobby couch before their appointment today while their human sister keeps all that Great Dane energy under control. Well done, Family!

Announcement: We will be closed on Monday, May 25th in observance of Memorial Day as we remember the fallen and also embrace the unofficial start of summer. We'll be back in action on Tuesday morning!

It's Sandy's Sweet 16!!! Look at this party animal enjoying her special day! Sandy had 26 attendees at her birthday party - she is the belle of the ball on our very own Federal Street! Happy Birthday, Sandy!

Congratulations to our Bailey on five years of service at Wiscasset Vet! Bailey was the very first new hire to come aboard when we outgrew being a team of the original four that started the hospital in 2020. In addition to being exceptionally technically skilled and so smart, Bailey is a leader, teacher, the head of IT and electrical engineering, and also sports the best hair styles at work. We love you, Bailey!

Update at 1:10 PM: Due to deteriorating conditions we have now closed the hospital fully for the day. Stay safe out there!

What a winter! We will be closed to appointments tomorrow, February 23rd due to the expected blizzard conditions and potential for zero visibility. However, we do have one intrepid staff member that intends to try to make it in to be available by phone to help reschedule everyone. Stay safe and best wishes we all keep power!
