š“ Why do we spend so much time on lunge line lessons?
Because a rider who is balanced, secure, and independent in the saddle will always have a stronger foundation moving forward.
During a lunge lesson, the horse is controlled by the instructor, allowing the rider to focus completely on their position, balance, and developing an independent seat. We incorporate fun exercises and games like airplane arms, around the world, no stirrups, hands-free work, and more to challenge riders while keeping lessons engaging for both kids and adults.
These exercises help riders develop confidence, body awareness, and feelāskills that carry over into every ride, regardless of discipline.
At Meraki Equestrian, we believe it's important to build the basics correctly from the very beginning. A strong foundation in horsemanship and riding creates confident, effective riders who are prepared to pursue whatever path they choose, whether that's dressage, jumping, eventing, western, trail riding, or simply enjoying time in the saddle.
The fundamentals matterāand we'll never outgrow them. ā¤ļøš“
