Earlier this year we went through a lot of loss back to back to back. Those that know us know the hole if left and how hard of a year its been. Having our first litter in several years was a blessing in so many ways but watching them leave was more difficult than I thought it would be.
Not long after, the opportunity presented itself for a once in a lifetime puppy. The dam's retirement litter and the sire I hoped to pair Harley with one day, but 12 hours away the logistics were not going to pan out. This litter was ironically born the same day as ours and the puppy I fell in love with from the start became available again. After discussing temperament and goals of our program, her breeder felt she was a good match for us and was willing to let her go (to which i am forever grateful). The stars aligned and after a long road trip last Friday, she is here.
Welcome Cova to the Southern Creek family. We are a 4 shepherd household again and I woulnt trade the chaos for the world. She walked in like she belonged here and has stolen our hearts. She loves with all of her soul and has the temperament we wanted, through and through. She has a knack for shoes and carries them around like they are all hers. The joy and laughter she has brought has been healing. Our toddler has bonded to her and likes her tagging along on our walks through the countryside. Thank you to her breeder for letting such a perfect pup join us when we needed her the most ❤️.
