Joey accompanied me to meet up with another client. Not only was it great training for him but he was also a huge help working with a dog who struggles to meet new dogs.
At the end of the session everyone played a little fetch in the dog park. I then used this opportunity to push Joey's self control success to a new level. With great training comprehension and an understanding of consequences he's able to overcome even the most challenging scenarios. Moments before this he was running around playing fetch and chase as well.

Joey, an 8 month Australian Labradoodle is my most recent board and train. Before his owner picked him up he was trained in basic obedience.
A few months later he was more energetic and learned life was lots of fun with little rules.
His owner, a single senior citizen struggled to institute controlled exercise and reinforce rules and manners.
She had finally realized she needed more help when Joey began being too much around her grandkids, leading to him "hu***ng and mounting."
His obedience was very proficient but his self control was not. Upon her inquiring about the use of an Electronic Collar I agreed that for her success it would be a great addition to their training journey.
His education in negative reinforcement as well as positive punishment would greatly increase his comprehension in what was allowed and not as well as solidify his obedience proficiency.

Logged over 1k miles in 3 days. Nothing is better than building new memories in new places with the people you love. The mountains of Northern Georgia were the perfect backdrop for a little Christmas family road trip. Amicalola Falls, Dahlonega, Helen and a few stops through Atlanta on the way home. I hope they knows how full they've made my heart this Christmas. Merry Christmas from the Colon Pack.
