Today is Pet Awareness Day at the fairgrounds! Stop by anytime from 12-4 today to support an amazing organization, find some goodies at the silent auction, and check out some of the other local pet organizations and vendors in the community!

Annie will be there at our booth along with our friends Rebecca (That Crazy Pet Lady) and Marie (Mutts Amore) handing out free poo bags, dog treats, and kitty nip planters. Don’t forget say hi! 💜🐾

Important Announcement 📣

I know it's lengthy, but please read fully!

Many of you have already heard the news but I’d like to officially share that we’ve been making some pretty big changes lately– one of those being the expansion to a new service area.

Earlier this year, I found out that my little family and I would be moving to Winston-Salem, North Carolina, on military orders. As excited as I was for a new adventure, I was understandably heartbroken to leave behind the business I have built from the ground up and all of the pets I have grown to love and care for over the last 5 years.

As I began making preparations to end pet care services in Fairbanks, I kept having this gut feeling that I wasn’t ready to leave my hometown with one less option in a city where pet owners already struggle to find reliable, quality pet care for their animals.

After much deliberation, I am so thrilled to share that my long-time friend and back-up pet sitter, Annie, has teamed up with me fulltime in order to continue offering a professional in-home pet care option to the community of Fairbanks.

I’ve been so fortunate to have Annie’s help since the beginning of Wild Iris. She’s proved to be an expert in the pet care industry and one of the most reliable people I know. Many of my clients are already familiar with her, so when she expressed working together as a team— it was a no brainer.

Annie is now the primary pet care provider in Alaska, while I have moved to a remote position handling invoices, scheduling, marketing, and such, from North Carolina. She has done an exceptional job taking over client care in Fairbanks and I couldn’t be happier with my decision.

I really appreciate everyone’s kindness and support during this transition as I navigate both a new service area and a new role within my company. I already deeply miss all of my wonderful clients and the special pets I’ve had the honor of building relationships with. Your trust over the years has meant the world to me and made it possible for me to build a life and career that I love. I’m grateful beyond words. 🤍

Thank you all again for your continued support as we begin this new chapter — we’re so excited for what the future holds. 🐾
