Yesterday we lost one of our own. Pearl. Pearl has been part of our team for the past nine years and is definitely a fairytale story. Pearl came to Elite Canine 10 years ago after just being rescued by Suphrina and Jon. She was so terrified that she hid behind the chairs during the entire first class. No one was able to pet her and she would not make eye contact. The following week we put a playpen barrier around her to keep her more comfortable and she met Nanook. As soon as she saw him, she came out from behind the chairs to say hello. One year later, she became a team member. She blossomed into one of the most loving and caring dogs I’ve ever had the pleasure of training. Her mom and dad have become two of my most treasured friends. My heart breaks for them. Pearl made an impact on everyone she visited. We are all saddened by this loss. Pearl will be very missed and she has been very loved. She will continue to have a place in all of our hearts.
