When I first met Teddy, I thought I had a pretty good understanding of his behavior—as I typically do during consultations. But Teddy is an extraordinary little dog! 🐾
Living with his senior pet parent, Teddy seemed to feel a strong need to protect her while also lacking the confidence to understand exactly how to handle that “job.” The result? One powerful, non-stop little voice! 😂
To my surprise, Teddy quickly learned several new skills, but he consistently barked his way through them. Every now and then, an animal comes along who presents a challenge that benefits from a second professional perspective.
I’m proud to say that I consulted with another trainer to make sure I was providing Teddy and his family with the most effective and well-rounded training plan possible. The best trainers stay curious, keep learning, and collaborate when it strengthens the results for their clients.
Teddy is making great strides toward becoming more confident in his role within the household and while navigating public spaces. We have made great progress in training, but there's still some fine-tuning to do! You got this, Teddy! 💪🐶❤️
