Happy National Make a Dog’s Day Day! 🐶💛

We’re celebrating by making adoption days even more special! A huge thank-you to Flow Subaru of Winston-Salem for stopping by with special adoption kits for our dogs and cats to take home with their new families!

We love seeing our community come together to make the journey from shelter to home even sweeter! Thank you, Flow Subaru and ASPCA, for helping us celebrate new beginnings and send our dogs and cats home with a little something special this October.🧡

Meet our sweet Mel! 😊

Mel has come such a long way in foster, and we couldn't be happier to see his sweet personality shining through! 💛

At 6 months old, he now allows his foster to pick him up and enjoys curling up in a warm lap for some cozy cuddle time. He especially loves having his head and the base of his tail rubbed!

This chatty boy isn't shy about speaking up, especially when it's mealtime! 😹 When he's not telling you all about his day, Mel loves exploring his surroundings, chasing a pointer light, and sitting on the windowsill watching hummingbirds at the feeder. 🐦

Mel is comfortable sharing his space with two big dogs and three other cats, making him a great fit for a home with other furry friends. He's still shy around young children, but with patience, trust, and love, we hope he'll continue to grow in confidence.

Mel is a beautiful boy with a gentle disposition who just needs someone willing to give him the time and love he deserves.

Have a Hoot this HOWL-o-ween!🎃👻

The Mast General Store’s HOWL-o-ween features pet costume contests, games, door prizes, and photo booth sessions.

Have your pup’s caricature captured and take your dog trick-or-doggie treating around the store to meet some of Mast’s favorite dog-friendly local partners, including Forsyth Humane Society.🐾

Bring your spunky pup all dressed up and jump in on the spooky fun Thursday, October 22nd from 6:00-8:00PM!

Witches Walk is creeping up, and even some of our kittens are getting into the Halloween spirit! 🐈‍⬛🕸️

Grab your best Halloween costume and get ready for a spooktacular evening strolling through the Arts District, exploring local shops, and checking out amazing vendors. It’s the perfect way to kick off Halloween!

Meet Koala!😊

Koala is a sweet, silly boy whose personality keeps shining brighter every day! He has been going to his foster's tattoo shop and absolutely loves it. He gets to meet new people, play with everyone, and soak up all the attention he can get. By the end of the day, he is one happy, sleepy boy who crashes for a well-deserved nap! 🥹

Koala is also quite the snuggle bug and is showing off just how special he is. He already knows how to give paw and lie down, is working on his “wait” command, and will even speak when you hold a treat up to your nose and ask him to! He has so much personality, and it has been wonderful watching his confidence grow.

Koala has also spent time around children, and his previous family worked on teaching him to give the baby space. He would do best in a home without cats, as he becomes very excited around them and has struggled to share his space with feline friends.

His skin has been a little irritated, but an oatmeal soak recently seemed to help calm it down. With continued care, patience, and plenty of love, Koala is ready for someone to help him keep thriving.

Koala has so much love to give, a goofy personality that will keep you smiling, and a whole lot of snuggles waiting for his future family. 🐶💙

We’re celebrating some BIG adoptions this week, and we couldn’t wait to share the happy news with our community! ❤️
