Come on out to the Oshkosh Animal Hospitals open house. Runs until 3. They have snakes dogs ferrets and more. They even have a bounce house for the kids.

Paul is an 11-month-old Hound mix who came into the shelter with a severe leg injury, likely from being hit by a car. He had been suffering with the injury for several days and required immediate medical assistance. He was taken to the Fox Valley Animal Referral Center for x-rays, where we could see that the severity of the break would require amputation of his leg. Our dedicated veterinary team performed the surgery, which took close to 3.5 hours. Paul is now healing well and will go into foster care until he is ready to go to his forever home. He has quickly become a staff favorite, with his gentle and sweet nature. When walking down the hallway, he loves to greet every single person he passes. Thanks to our generous community, we are able to provide life-saving care for many animals in need like Paul.

Truly a match made in heaven.

Steve Ramsey of Menasha adopted a lab mix named Wilbur. The Fox Valley Humane Associaton helped the man, who has cerebral palsy, make it happen. (Oct. 21, 2013)

Wilber is an older do that came to the Fox Valley Humane Association with swollen pads, sores between his toes, chewing the hair off his tail and quite overweight. This dog touched our heart at Somethin to Howl About. Wilber is working with a foster family to prepare him for adoption in a forever home where he will be a companion to Steve. Steve and Wilber hit it off immediately so Somethin To Howl About decided to sponsor the medical needs of Wilber with their complete line of All Natural, herbal products. Watch for further updates.
