🍪 What an incredible group of young women! The remaining members of Girl Scout Troop 186 from Leland stopped by today to deliver more donations from their cookie sales — and they didn’t come empty-handed!

This amazing troop sold over 8,000 boxes of cookies and chose Paws Place to share part of their hard-earned proceeds. 🐾

During a tour of our kennel, they got to spend some special time with one of our favorite residents — sweet Bridget! They even got a first look at our newly installed fire hydrant — a big milestone for our Sanctuary Shelter capital campaign!

We are so grateful for the generosity of Troop 186 and the families who support them. These girls are already making a difference in their community! 💛🐶

Throwback Thursday update on Chase, adopted in August of 2024 💙 Here is a message from his family!

“When Chase first came into our lives, he had endured severe mange as a stray, and his early story was a hard one. Today, you would never know it. His coat has fully grown back, and he is healthy, happy, and thriving.

Chase has blossomed into an outgoing, loving, gentle boy who has clearly chosen his person, our dad. Their bond is something truly special. If Dad moves, Chase is right there with him every step of the way.

He loves treats, peaceful nighttime walks, rolling in the grass, and playing with his little sister Lacy, also a proud Paws Place alum.

We are forever grateful to Paws Place for giving Chase his second chance. His story is proof that love and care can completely change a life.”

🐾💙 HAPPY GOTCHA DAY 💙🐾

Happy Gotcha Day to Halo! We recently received the sweetest update from her family, and she is doing amazing in her new home. Halo loves running up and down the stairs, her personality is truly blossoming, and she has mastered the art of being a couch potato at times.

Her family also discovered her favorite snack... peanut butter! They shared that Halo has been the perfect addition to their family, and we could not be happier for her.

🐾 We're Building Something Big — and We're Almost There!
Thanks to your incredible generosity, the Paws Place Sanctuary Shelter is rising! We've officially broken ground on Phase 1 — and Phase 2 plans have already been submitted. This project is moving FAST. 🏗️

✅ Phase 1 underway: Fire safety infrastructure — hydrant connection & road access in progress.
📋 Phase 2 submitted: Building plans are in, and we've proactively scheduled a meeting with the county permit office to keep things moving.

💰 We've raised $277,800 of our $300,000 goal. Just $22,200 to go! The finish line is in sight — because of YOU.

This storm-ready shelter will protect our dogs and staff for years to come. If you feel moved to give, or know someone who'd love to be part of this milestone, visit our campaign page! And stay tuned — once Phase 2 is further along, we're planning an open house so you can come see the progress firsthand. 🐶❤️
