I can’t believe I’ve had these boys for over a year…
Elvis and Aaron are two very special boys and while I’ve said I will keep them for as long as needed, I didn’t expect to be a year in and still not have them adopted, especially when my prior fosters were adopted pretty quickly in comparison. There was a time where we were getting multiple calls each month from people looking for trained dogs for sale, especially shepherds. Yet here I am with TWO, and I can’t even GIVE them away (not that I would do that, they are NOT free).
Please share to help us find Aaron and Elvis their forevers. They adore people and I believe they would be fine in homes with children, so long as those kids are over 10 years old just because they are essentially overgrown lap dogs and could potentially injure an young child accidentally. They are obedience trained and crate trained. Both are weekend warrior type, happy with 10 minutes of fetch and a 30 minute walk every day. They crate/kennel well while I work. Elvis can’t be adopted to a home with existing or wanting pets/livestock. If you want a 2 dogs, that second dog must be Aaron as I can’t guarantee Elvis would accept another dog in the home, especially a male. Aaron has proven himself trustworthy with my large dogs.
Their fee (will give privately) includes all of their vetting done in the last year, as well as a 3 year rabies and 3 year DAPP vaccines that won’t be due again until May 2029 (bordetella and Lepto are yearly vaccines and if you live in the Charlotte, NC area you’ll be able to use the same mobile clinic as I do!). They’ve been treated for heartworms and will leave with 6 months of heartworm prevention and 6 months of flea/tick prevention, an $115 value each dog. Elvis was neutered & gastropexied to the tune of $1,100 😐. They’ve had obedience training programs worth $4,000 (each) and their fee includes 2 initial training sessions at our facility, 1 home session and unlimited onsite help for life. They’ll come with leashes, collars, a month of food and supplements and their favorite toys. The only thing you’ll need to buy on your own is a crate!
