🚨🚨Amara needs a RESCUE and QUICK!

Meet Amara — a brave little mama who survived being chained on an abandoned property. Life hasn’t been kind to her, and she’s still learning that people can be gentle. She’s nervous at first, but the moment she realizes you come with treats, she blossoms into a sweet, wiggly friend who leans in for butt scratches.
We think she’s around 3 years old, with stunning brown merle coloring and the classic stocky American Bully build.
Amara has done well with the female dogs she was found with, but we’re still learning how she feels about other animals. She’s a tender, loving girl who deserves a home where she can finally feel safe and cherished.

She may have recently had puppies, and we’re hoping she’s not expecting more. If she is pregnant, she needs a rescue to get her OUT of the outdoor HOT shelter and to the vet! Her legal hold time is up so she can leave ASAP! Please donate if you can help with vet costs!

Amara, Farah and Tala (all shelters names) were picked up by animal control on a property where there was a trailer that was abandoned.
AMARA was on a chain 💔😡
TALA was on a chain 💔😡
FARAH was in a make-shift pen 💔😡

PLEASE HELP THEM! This shelter only allows dogs to be there for 10 days and then they are in danger of euthanasia even if there are empty kennels! P L E A S E contact rescues quickly!

Please don’t let Amara have her babies in a steaming hot outdoor shelter (especially if she’s indeed pregnant as we think she is) ‼️‼️‼️‼️

💙DEWEY
His sweet face paints what words cannot say. Please give him that new beginning he deserves!

💙 WHAT ABOUT A DADDY DOG?
It’s always tough when mama dogs get overlooked, but daddy dogs deserve love too!

Dewey is the ultimate hero dad. Last September, he and his 3 puppies came into the shelter as strays. Dewey’s nurturing care is the only reason his puppies survived the streets. (He was caring for 3 puppies; Darla and Davey were adopted and Dena went to rescue last year)

Dewey has been waiting for his own family for almost a year, and it is past his turn to find a forever home!
He needs a RESCUE, FOSTER or ADOPTER to spring him from boarding so he can start his fast-kill heartworm treatments (we will help fundraise for this if you foster or adopt!). He has been on slow kill heartworm treatments and it is not working for him!

He is UTD on vaccines and will be neutered before adoption. We will follow through with heartworm treatments with a foster or adopter.

Dewey LOVES our Maisie that’s also in boarding. We think he might do better with females at this point, but don’t know once out of boarding, neutered and decompresses how he would do with male dogs. Maisie and Dewey play together daily! (If by chance you have a huge heart and want both of them 😘🤗) Dewey is not high energy but loves to play. He has done terrific in leash. With a little more practice he would be an absolute joy to take for walks.

We currently have 12 dogs in boarding because the alternative was losing their lives at the shelter.

Every day they’re safe, loved, and waiting for a family—but boarding costs add up to thousands of dollars each month.

Update on the current Match Challenge …..

💔 The last three dogs we moved to boarding to save their lives were Alice, Frisco and Jordi.
Boarding costs are costing us thousands of dollars each month but without it there’s so many incredibly wonderful dogs that would’ve been euthanized. There’s numerous dogs that would’ve never made it to their new homes and wonderful lives they are now living had we not placed them in boarding.

🐶🐶😻😻ALL DOGS AND CATS NEED MEDICAL CARE and we pay FOR ALL OF IT! We now have outstanding medical expenses that need to be paid to Shelton Veterinary and currently paying some vet bills at Grant Vet. We have dogs that are going through the slow kill treatment for heart-worms and it’s not working for them so we have to start scheduling them for fast kill treatments!

We had many urgent cases for dogs and in addition to these urgent cases, we continue to provide food, shelter, medical care, spay/neuter services, rescue transport, and life-saving support for the dogs and cats depending on us.

These innocent animals have already been failed by humans once. We cannot fail them again.

We are a volunteer-run nonprofit with NO paid employees. Every single dollar goes directly toward helping the animals and supporting the shelter.
