A little fun post to brighten your night!

Cape May police had a trespasser on their hands this past Sunday, and they weren't letting this one wander off without consequences.

Officers tracked the suspect sneaking through yards on New Jersey Avenue, so they brought her in for questioning. Except the culprit wasn't a burglar or a prowler.

It was Bean, a pug who'd wandered away from home and decided the neighbors' lawns looked far more interesting than her own.

Once at the station, police gave Bean the full treatment. They snapped her mugshot, tossed her in a holding cell for photos, and captioned the whole thing "this is what happens when you run away from home."

Bean, for her part, seemed thrilled with the attention and trotted around the station like she owned the place.

Her legs were too short to hop into the squad car on her own, so an officer had to lift her in. Within the hour, her owner showed up and posted bail.

The currency? A batch of cookies for the officers. Bean went home, and reportedly slept off her big adventure for the rest of the day.

Evie, a Dogwood Animal Rescue Project alum is here for a checkup and is doing great!

After being rescued as an underweight, pregnant dog who was being denied food, she looks great and is a healthy weight and is thriving in her home- Mom said she enjoys all of the attention at her grooming sessions ❤️ (notice the matching nail polish!)

She was a very well behaved patient and loved a pup cup during her visit!
