Maverick is joining an already stacked day at Northmen Exotics, and we’ve been waiting to finally let this one out of the bag.

We’re really looking forward to September 12th and what this day can become. Bringing together people who genuinely care about these animals, sharing what we’ve learned, asking questions, and helping each other become better keepers is exactly the kind of community we want to keep building at Northmen Exotics. We can’t wait to have everyone together.

Some cute little fat-tailed geckos. They have some great colors; the bottom, biggest one, fires up with a nice tangerine.

We have two handsome milks right now, too. They are super sweet and have such stunning colors, too.

Fact Friday:
Do you know why a leopard gecko's tail is so thick? These guys store all their extra fat in their tail. They can still drop their tail as a defense mechanism, but since they store extra fat, it’s used as a last resort. A great way to pick out a gecko is to check its tail size; babies and juveniles can take longer to put on weight while they are growing.

We have a couple of these gorgeous APTOR leopard geckos. Their colors are stunning and almost glow.

Fact Friday!
Did you know monitors are some of the smartest reptiles? We have so much fun working with the monitors because they are so intelligent. These guys can learn their names and several commands too. Some other intelligent reptiles are tegus, cobras, and even iguanas.
