Root and Seed Farm LLC Rooted in a passion for growing plants and people Root and Seed urban farm is run by Jordan and Justin Walsh. We live in a time where so much is disposable.

Their love of plants brought them together and in 2024, they decided to bring their dreams to life. This dynamic duo has over 18 years of combined horticultural experience and after many years in the industry, it was time to branch out on their own adventure and make Root and Seed urban farm a reality. Jordan's herbal meditation candles, soaps and self care products are lovingly made from many of

the herbs and plants the couple grow on the farm. In Jordan's words, "Every plant has something to say. The land they come from carries messages of healing. My goal is to tap into the gifts that the land has to offer and showcase them in every product. I want my customers to leave with a product that is also a tool for self discovery; offers food for thought and something that artistically tips the hat to the land the product came from. Most products today are mined, used-up, then thrown away or forgotten. How different would the world be if the products we consumed were functional, high quality, nourished our minds, and connected us to the very land that sustains us? The goal of my art is to leave one finding pieces of themselves within the land. We care for what we connect with, and this is paramount in a time where so much of our farmland and natural ecosystems are disappearing." From the owners:
"Root and Seed Farm was born out of a love for all things green. From the time we met, we dreamed of starting an urban homestead/farm to share our love of plants, nature and lovingly crafted goods with our local community. Our farming and production practices are rooted in the three ethics of permaculture; earth care, people care and fair share. We create safe, healthy products that reunite our customers with the land. We believe in growing not just plants, but the community and people around us. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for supporting us!"

Everything you need is packed into a tidy, boxed kit. These make an excellent gift for any gardeners or plant people in your life.

If you're unfamiliar with the concept of a plantable intention, it is a meditation that includes the physical act of planting seeds as part of the intention setting process. Combining the mental aspects of intention setting with the physical is a powerful way to anchor your intention into reality. Every time you care for your plant, it serves as a reminder of the goals you intended to achieve. The plant allies we have chosen for each kit also lend their natural wisdom to the overall theme of the intention. We hope you enjoy these as much as we do!

Hi! It's been a hot minute since you've seen us at markets. We are still here though! Right now we are busy making lots of soap, candles, forged iron work and other products for the CT flower and garden show being held at the convention center in Hartford, Feb 19-22. We have a batch of oils/butters melting to make a big batch of Eucalyptus mint soap as we speak. See you soon!

Hi all! It's been a wonderful year of markets and things will soon be coming to a close until 2026. We will be taking a short break to re-stock for the CT flower and garden show held in February of 2026. If you need to stock up for the holidays, come stop by these events. P.s luppoleto brewery is our personal favorite brewery. Super cozy, great beer and good vibes. Deffinately check this place out and visit some local vendors while supporting their small business.
