I know we had people excited about our potential upcoming litter with Stormy. After confirming the possibility of pregnancy we ended up having to do an emergency spay a few days later due to her showing symptoms of Pyro. It can be extremely dangerous if not treated. We weighed our options and as sad as it made us we opted to spay her we were facing some pretty treacherous weather over the weekend and felt like we could not risk her health and life as this can take a bad turn very quickly. She is recovering and doing fantastic. Unfortunately breeding is not always sunshine and rainbows. Often times there are a lot of tough choices and loss happening behind the scenes. The health of our dogs come first and foremost and we feel like we absolutely made the right decision with the different pieces of the situation we had to consider. We do have a planned litter with Ruby.
