We love what we do, and every dog who comes through our doors gets our full attention, care, and respect. Dog training is a huge commitment — for us, and for you. That’s why we put so much thought and planning into every booking.
Our private lessons are often booked two months in advance, and our board & train and boarding spots fill up well ahead of time. When you reserve a place with us, you’re not just holding a time slot — you’re securing a spot in a carefully balanced schedule. We consider travel, the daily needs of our board and train dogs, and how to fit in lessons for you and our other clients. Once something is on the calendar, we’ve already mapped out how to make it all work without risking anyone’s progress or safety.
We understand that life happens. Of course, emergencies come up and plans sometimes need to change — we’re human too. But if you cancel simply because you don’t want to do the training, that’s a different story. We immediately offer that slot to the next person on our waitlist, because it’s only fair to those who are ready and waiting to commit. Our training fees are non-refundable for this reason: when you book, we turn away other clients, and your dog’s spot is reserved just for you.
Think of it like booking an appointment at a doctor’s office or a hair stylist. If you cancel last minute, that slot is gone — and it isn’t fair to expect that fee to roll over or apply to a new appointment. We run on scheduled time, just like any other professional service, and we ask for the same understanding.
Before you book, please make sure you’re truly ready to commit. Take advantage of our free behavior evaluation to get to know us, ask questions, and decide if our program is the right fit. From the very first meet and greet, consult, behavior evaluation, and even during intake calls before we ever meet, we explain all our policies. Our contract is available in your client portal from day one — nothing is hidden. We believe in honesty and transparency, always.
It’s important to remember: a burnt-out dog trainer isn’t going to bring the same value or energy to your sessions as one who’s well-balanced and supported. When we’re overbooked or stretched too thin, the quality of training and everyone’s safety can suffer. That’s not fair to you, your dog, or any of our clients.
We ask for the same respect and commitment we give every client and every dog. When you book with us, you’re investing in your dog’s future, and we’re investing our time and energy in you. Every spot is valuable, and every dog in our program deserves that shared commitment.
Thank you for understanding, for respecting our time, and for trusting us with your dog’s journey. We’re here for you — and for your dog — every step of the way.
