🐾 Influential K9, LLC: Looking Ahead to 2027

As Influential K9 grows, we’re refining our schedule to give each dog and owner the time, attention, and support they deserve.

More support between lessons

We are now adding private lesson session notes to your Time to Pet client portal! These notes give you something to reference while practicing at home, especially when a session covers a lot of information.

We’ve previously provided this support through our Board & Train go-home packets and follow-up lessons, and we’re excited to extend it to private lesson clients.

Limited enrollment and a more consistent schedule

In 2027, we will limit the number of active private training cases and offer more availability dedicated to boarding, Board & Train, and Day Training.

Private lessons will be offered in four-session packages organized into monthly training blocks. Your appointments will be scheduled in advance to help maintain consistency and give you a clear plan for the month.

At the end of your package, we’ll review your progress and next steps. Additional training may be recommended based on your dog’s needs, with continued enrollment subject to availability.

Our private lesson waitlist will continue. As one woman wearing many hats, limiting enrollment allows me to maintain thoughtful training, consistent communication, and the quality of service you expect.

2027 is already booking!

Private lessons are already booking into January and February. Current availability for boarding, Board & Train, and Day Training is:

* January–February: Minimal availability
* March: Open
* April–June: Limited availability
* July–September: Open
* October: Limited availability
* November–December: Open

Availability will change as bookings are confirmed. Please reach out early about your preferred dates.

Changes to house sitting

Beginning November 1, 2026, Heather will no longer accept new house-sitting bookings for 2027. This transition will help prevent overbooking and allow more time to focus on dog training and business growth.

Some clients within Crystal’s service area may be able to continue with her, depending on availability and sufficient advance notice. Please reach out to discuss your options. We are also exploring another sitter or trusted referrals for 2027.

Group Classes at Dogs By the Dozen

Heather will also be teaching Sunday group classes at Dogs By the Dozen in Bozrah! Currently announced offerings include Conformation Foundations and a CGC class starting November 1, 2026.

Check Dogs by the Dozen’s AND Influential K9’s page for current class flyers and future class announcements. Additional offerings will be shared as they are finalized.

Please follow the registration instructions on each flyer. These classes are booked through Dogs By the Dozen’s client portal, not Influential K9’s Time to Pet portal.

2027 rates and booking policies

Our 2027 rate increases will be announced soon.

When teaching TWO Cane Corsos the “READY” cue and introducing the game of tug, your presentation of that tug better be ON POINT. 🤣💀

Because when you say “READY” to a freight train with teeth and some SERIOUS bite force, you better make sure YOU’RE ready too! 😂

But we’re not just teaching these two how to play the game! We’re also teaching them that just because ONE dog gets to play doesn’t mean it’s YOUR turn! 🤣

Building engagement, impulse control, patience, and the ability to wait their turn while the other dog gets to have some fun!

After all, the game isn’t just about biting the tug. It’s about learning the rules, understanding the cues, and developing self-control even when excitement is HIGH!

Two Cane Corsos. One tug. A whole lot of horsepower. And a trainer who’s making sure her presentation is ON POINT. 🤣💪🐾

Hello everyone,

Please mark your calendars for two upcoming Influential K9, LLC closures:

• October 21–25, 2026: Closed for some rest and relaxation. We will reopen October 26, 2026.

• December 21, 2026–January 3, 2027: Closed for our holiday break. We will reopen January 4, 2027.

Please keep these dates in mind when planning training sessions, boarding, and other pet-care needs. If you have questions about your schedule, please reach out through the Time to Pet portal before the closures so we can plan accordingly.

Giving Harry a job—and making it a game! 🐾

Instead of using positive punishment to address his reactions, we’re teaching Harry a rewarding alternative: engage with his handler and join the game.

With enough distance from other dogs to think and respond, he can practice making choices we want to see more of. This is differential reinforcement of an alternative behavior—building handler engagement while working toward less reactivity.

We’re giving him a clear answer to: “What should I do when I see another dog?” 💜

Six-year-old me would’ve seen a badass. 🖤

I really enjoy just playing and messing around with Finn without the pressure of “perfection.” Just a girl and her dog, practicing, figuring things out, and having fun together.

Being able to communicate like this with my dog is the beautiful part. Those moments where we understand each other and enjoy the game together mean so much to me.

Maybe one day we’ll clean it up for competition. Until then, I’ll take the hate. I want him to love the game before putting pressure on him to meet “human rules.”

Six-year-old me would think this is pretty fu***ng cool. And today, so do I.
