We had the privilege of hosting a veterinary extern: former team member Zack! He recently graduation from St. Georges Veterinary College in Grenada, completed his clinical studies at Texas A&M, and has been traveling around the country for his final externships!

Here, we see Zack working with Dr. Mora on suturing techniques during a dental procedure. Best of luck, and we're thrilled to have been a part of your journey!

One of the many advantages of being a client at the Animal Clinic of Windermere, is access to collaborative environment! Here, we see doctors Anderson and Benavent examining a patient together. Our team has a huge amount of experience, and they often consult each other about their individual cases. That's the ACW difference!!!

It is National Veterinary Technician Week and our techs are the heart of this place.

They comfort nervous patients, monitor anesthesia, are your lab-work technicians, surgical nurses, dental hygienists, and somehow still find a way to make everyone feel cared for, pets and people alike. We would be lost without them.

Have a tech here who has taken great care of your pet? Name them in the comments so we can pass it along.

New puppy Piper came in for her first exam with us! She had some skin irritation and debris on her nose, mouth and eyes, so nurse Amy took a sample and looked at it under the microscope. We sent her home with some antibacterial wipes to be used twice per day, and we'll see her back in 2 weeks to check her progress. Welcome to ACW, Piper!

Hooray! Harley is getting a new feline sibling!

Harley's family brought her in for a wellness appointment before they welcome a new kitten into the family. Our medical team thinks this is a great idea! Dr. Mora did an exam, updated vaccines and completed a full blood panel, including a feline leukemia and FIV test.

We can't wait to meet Harley's new sibling, and set them up for a happy, healthy life as siblings!

Here is a quick one you can do at home... Gently lift your pet's lip and take a look!

Red gums, discolored teeth or breath you can smell from across the couch are all worth a call to your veterinarian. Dental issues are common and they are a lot easier to manage when caught early.

Ask us about a dental check. Call us at (407) 876-3676 today!

As the mornings get cooler, you might notice your older pet moving a little slower.

Stiffness after a nap, hesitation at the stairs, or less interest in a favorite game are all symptoms you should contact your veterinarian to discuss.

It is easy to write these off as just getting older, but there is often a lot we can do to help them feel better.

If your senior seems off lately, give us a call at (407) 876-3676!
