It's taken me some time to make this post. I just want to give a proper goodbye to these 2 puppies. Salty dog stole my heart very quickly and was so special. I was definitely planning on how to keep him as my boy. He would lean to my chest loving my presence. we had a special connection I don't get with every puppy. Dune was a bit shy but very sweet. He didn't cause any trouble being a bit smaller than salty dog and the other 11 pups ( 8 had gone to their homes). When the massive oak tree fell, it hit the upstairs side of the house where they were. The entire back and that side of my home is just a crushed pile of everything. The fire fighters and JP went back looking for them , they found the 2 brown boys Forest and Sharky but the 2 light boys were just gone. No whimper or trace was found. Heather was also back there and an angel must have carried her down because she was unharmed. I am counting my many blessings 🙌 but I will always keep a special place in my heart for these 2 beautiful boys. 🐾 💕

Hello doodle family.
Just a update on what I am calling "The mighty oak steam roller time shift"!
JP, Sandy and I are at the Holliday Inn Bethlehem for now. Maybe 1-3 weeks longer. All our dogs and puppies are safe and comfortable now. Thank you to all who reached out and help during this disaster. The oak tree will be removed but my entire roof and structure has to be replaced! My house will be down to the basement and re built again . This will take 6 months to a year. My Georgia Doodle Dogs is on paws 🐾 ⏸️ pause! The future is to be determined but I have several paths to consider since I will be 62 this fall. My son JP and my daughters are all helping and we really appreciate the donations to the go fund me. My insurance won't cover everything and it is going to be a rough year with 0 income. Home depot was great to give my son time off to help. He had to use his vacation time he had left. Again, thank you for all the messages and prayers 🙏 love to you all.

Hello doodle family.
Some people have ask about a go fund me. The link my daughter Jenn Kaminski set up on her page. I tried but couldn't figure out how to share it here. If you would like to help any of the dogs needs I will have over the next year are not covered by my insurance. My house is destroyed and we will be , I don't know where , til a much later date. Thank you for following my journey though this. I so appreciate all the kind messages and am reading every one.

Update.
I have a home for the littlest boy that survived the disaster. He will be with his uncle Maxx Willows boy tonight.
I have a 1 year old Iris goldendoodle 50lb and a 18 month labradoodle boy 35lb that are fine now but in the next 30 days will need a foster for a year or a guardian home which means it comes back to me as needed. I can't do any more messages today. But text me with family info and where you live and we will make decisions as soon as I can. I have things I need to take care of so I will message back to 2 choosen families on Sunday. I love my doodle family. You guys are so great!678-232-7829 Betsy

Hello doodle family. The picture of my house is where I was rescued from. I won't have my home back for probably a year. The other 2 photos are 1 of the survivor puppies . He fell from upstairs and was flung into the yard and found with his brother sitting together in the debre. His brother is with a firefighters family. I had hoped to be my last stud boy. I need help. My daughter has him now but needs someone to come get him today. Foster for a year or guardian home is an option also where he just comes over to make. Babies and he is your pup. Either would be wonderful. Jennifer is in Buford. Text me if you are able to come tonight. Anytime after 4:00. Thank you

Hello my doodle family. A tragedy hit us 8/18 A oak tree heavy with acorns came down on my house after the storm. The house came down on me and my welping areas. Miraculously I survived with minor injuries. My son was safe downstairs. We lost 2 puppies and gave 2 puppies to the nice firemen that helped me get out from the roofing rafters and tree limbs all around me. All my adult dogs are fine! They all survived! I have one chocolate boy , forest that is staying with my daughter in Buford for now but anyone willing to foster till I can find a new ace to land. My home is destroyed. My other adult dogs are at my sister's house well taken care of til we have a new home. Thank you for all well wishes and prayers. Thank God for sparing my life.
