NEVER leave your pet unattended in a car during summer months. Even on a mild day, temperature can reach over 99 degrees inside the car inside of 20 minutes.
Unlike humans, dogs cannot sweat to cool down; they rely on panting. Trapped in a car, they are forced to breathe hot air, causing their body temperature to rise rapidly.
Please call 911 IMMEDATELY if you see a pet inside of a parked car as heatstroke can occur in less than 15 minutes.

PET APPRECIATION WEEK: June 7th - June 13th 2026

Ideas to pamper your pet

Bake homemade treats: Whip up simple, pet-safe snacks using basic ingredients like plain pumpkin, oats, and peanut butter (ensure there is no xylitol).
Extend your walk: Take a longer route or explore a new nature trail, allowing your pet extra time to sniff and explore.
Brush and groom: Give them an extended brushing session to reduce shedding and build bonding time
Update their ID: Double-check that your pet’s microchip contact information is current and that their collar tags are legible. https://www.aaha.org/for-veterinary-professionals/microchip-registry-lookup-tool-aaha-find-your-pets-microchip-registry/
