NEVER leave your pet unattended in a car during summer months. Even on a mild day, temperature can reach over 99 degrees inside the car inside of 20 minutes.
Unlike humans, dogs cannot sweat to cool down; they rely on panting. Trapped in a car, they are forced to breathe hot air, causing their body temperature to rise rapidly.
Please call 911 IMMEDATELY if you see a pet inside of a parked car as heatstroke can occur in less than 15 minutes.
