Dogs and puppies of all breeds and ages are welcome, with custom programs available. Kentucky Dog Training LLC is a leading dog training company serving greater Louisville and Lexington, KY. We specialize in board and train programs that are customized to suit your dog, their personality, and your behavior concerns. We cover everything from puppy foundations, to seperation anxiety, to aggression issues, and everything in between. When you enroll in a boarding school program, you have the benefit of a top professional working with your dog 2-3 times a day, every day, for three weeks. Your dog will progress faster, with better results, and you just have to learn how to handle a dog who has already been trained. Our transition lessons ensure that your dog will listen to you just as well as they listen to us. Dogs who come for board and trains are part of our home and daily routine, and we treat them just like we treat our own dogs. When Jeffery’s mom has a seizure, he can push the button she wears on her to send a text to her husband and let him know she needs help. This means that Jeffery can remain with her rather than performing a more traditional “go get help” task, which both more time intensive to teach as well as generally less reliable and harder to maintain.

We are offering two Snake Avoidance Training workshops in Wi******er in September!

This training is truly a lifesaver, our local veterinary ERs clinics see snakebite cases all summer long, and they are generally $5,000+ dollars to treat. Our training is specifically designed to focus on our two primary local species: copperheads and Timber rattlesnakes, but also teaches general smell avoidance that transfers across the board.

This is a critical skill for dogs who are frequent hikers, and is also important for those who travel to heavy snake areas in the South and out West.
