This sweet girl is recovering after undergoing a gastrotomy and exploratory abdominal surgery due to an intestinal blockage caused by hairballs from excessive grooming.

Recovery will take time, patience, and lots of TLC, but we’re hopeful that this little one will continue getting stronger every day.

If your cat is repeatedly vomiting, not eating, unable to pass stool, seems painful, or is unusually lethargic, please contact your veterinarian promptly. When in doubt, it’s always better to have your cat checked.

MYTH: If my pet seems fine, they don't need to finish their medication.

FACT: Even if your pet is acting like their normal self, it's important to give medications exactly as prescribed. Stopping treatment early can allow an infection to return, delay healing, or make the medication less effective.

Always:
- Finish the full course of medication unless your veterinarian tells you otherwise.
- Never share medications between pets.
- Contact us if you're having trouble giving the medication, we can often suggest tips or alternatives!

Your pet may feel better before they're fully recovered, and completing their treatment gives them the best chance for a healthy outcome.

MYTH: If my dog or cat is eating grass, they must be sick.

FACT: Many pets eat grass, and in most cases, it's completely normal! Some pets enjoy the taste or texture, while others may do it out of boredom or curiosity. Although some animals may vomit after eating grass, most don't.

Keep an eye on your pet if:
- They're eating large amounts of grass frequently
- They vomit repeatedly
- They seem lethargic or have other signs of illness

This handsome boy is Money, and he is on the road to recovery after previously experiencing a urinary blockage.

Urinary blockages can be a serious and potentially life-threatening emergency in male cats, so prompt veterinary care is incredibly important. Thankfully, this sweet guy received the treatment he needed and is now recovering and getting lots of love and attention.

If your cat is straining to urinate, making frequent trips to the litter box, crying while trying to urinate, or producing little to no urine, please seek veterinary care right away.
