As the weather gets warmer, snakes become more active, and that means itโ€™s important for pet owners to take a few extra precautions to keep their animals safe.

โš ๏ธ Always keep your yard clean. Tall grass, wood piles, and clutter can attract snakes looking for shelter. By keeping lawns trimmed and removing hiding spots, you make your property less inviting to them.

โš ๏ธ Watch your pets closely when they are outside, especially near rocks, bushes, ponds, or wooded areas. Dogs are naturally curious and may try to chase or investigate a snake, which can lead to dangerous bites.

โš ๏ธ Know the warning signs! Swelling, pain, weakness, drooling, or sudden fearfulness should be treated as an emergency. If you suspect a bite, stay calm and get your pet to a veterinarian immediately.

By staying alert and taking simple precautions, we can help our pets enjoy the warmer months safely! ๐Ÿ”† ๐Ÿ”†
