DDK9 Peeps! I met Paddy today, the dog dumped in the livestock pen at the shelter, and I wanted to assure you she is a great dog! She’s happy and wagging her tail taking treats. She is currently getting the best care and will be a joyous companion for someone in the future!

UPDATE- The individual has come forward and we have turned off commenting. There will be a separate post about the dog, her condition and what is needed for her care so please watch for that!

DDK9 Community!!! Can anyone tell me why beautiful, happy Sammy has been at the shelter almost 3 years now?! Look how handsome! His tail never stops wagging! To date he’s never met anyone he doesn’t like. Spread the word about this guy. If we can find him a home out of state I will make it happen! Sammy would like a home where he’s the only pet and he deserves all the attention!

DDK9 Community - if anyone has information on this incident please call the shelter and let them know. This is absolutely unacceptable! To throw babies in a box and let them parish….. what kind of a person does this??? There is certainly a special place in hell for people who abuse those unable to defend themselves…..

People make this job hard.

These baby kittens were left in a box at the industrial park. Luckily, the gentleman mowing thought enough to check and found them before it was too late. These babies would have died in that box.
More than anyone, we understand that things happen. There are situations where people need to give up pets. Unplanned litters happen (that’s another soapbox I won’t get on for this post) but it is NEVER okay to abandon an animal. It is unethical and illegal.
Take them to a shelter, reach out to rescues, post flyers or on social media to find them homes but DO NOT DUMP THEM!
We are exploring all leads- security footage, labels on the box, etc. but if you have any information about where these babies may have come from or who may be responsible please contact us.

Nice afternoon out with the boys! And yet ANOTHER great use for your Freezebone Freez Swirl - vehicle training! Tucker isn’t a great car rider - I suspect that’s due to a lack of experience. So I gave him a Freez Swirl and he did great! Kept him busy when he’s normally at his most frantic, the beginning, and allowed his brain to calm down. He then was able to look out a window or 2 and go right back to his Freez Swirl. A lot of positive reinforcement happening here!!

Daisy has been through our board & train program and is very good at her obedience. She is a sweet dog who would be a great addition to most homes. She is active and will need a family who will enjoy spending active time with her. I am donating 2 free lessons to her adopter to get everyone setup for success! This dog will not disappoint!
