Freshwater is essential for your pets whether they’re indoor, outdoor, or farm animals with multiple sources of clean water. It’s important to keep a check on their water supply. It’s best to have cameras available especially outdoors so you can check their supply if you’re far away.
Fresh and clean is the most important because you don’t want it to be tainted and cause any of the animals to be sick. Water bowls for your dogs and cats need to be rinsed out each day because of film that can adhere to the containers. Ceramic or stainless steel bowls are better than plastic.
Cats: Avoid Alkaline Water. High pH alkaline water (above 8.5) should be avoided as a primary water source. Consistently drinking highly alkaline water can raise your cat's urine pH, increasing the risk of painful struvite crystals and urinary tract blockages.
