🤍 A Gentle Reminder About Our Care

At Gentle Passings, every family and every beloved companion deserves unhurried, compassionate care during life’s final goodbye.

As a solo veterinarian providing in-home hospice and euthanasia services, we do our very best to accommodate same-day appointments whenever possible. However, we are not an emergency service, and same-day availability cannot always be guaranteed.

Our business hours are 8:00 AM–7:00 PM. Calls and messages received during these hours are assessed and returned as soon as possible. Calls received outside of business hours will be returned the next business day. Thank you for your understanding as we are unable to provide overnight or after-hours coverage.

Whenever possible, we encourage families to reach out before their pet is in crisis. Having a conversation early allows us to answer your questions, discuss your pet’s quality of life, and, if the time comes, plan for a peaceful goodbye without the added stress of an emergency.

Every visit is intentionally given the time, compassion, and quiet presence it deserves. We never want a family to feel rushed during such a meaningful moment, and protecting that time is an important part of the care we provide.

Thank you for trusting Gentle Passings to walk beside you through one of life’s most difficult journeys. Your patience and understanding allow us to continue providing the peaceful, individualized care that every family and every beloved pet deserves. 🤍

As I step into this new year, I find myself feeling deeply grateful.

Grateful for the families who open their doors and trust me during moments that matter so much.
Grateful for the animals who teach me, over and over, what love and loyalty really look like.

This work isn’t something I take lightly. It’s personal. It’s quiet. And it asks for my whole heart every day.

I spend my mornings and afternoons in local practices, and my evenings on the road, doing my best to show up with steadiness and care, even on the hard days.

If you’ve welcomed me into your home, please know your pet is remembered, and your trust is never forgotten.

Thank you for allowing me to do this work. I’m honored to continue serving our community in the year ahead

🌿 Gratitude from the Heart🌿

There are moments when clients reach out after I’ve helped their beloved pet cross the rainbow bridge, and their words stay with me.

They tell me what it meant to be able to say goodbye at home, in peace, surrounded by love and familiarity. They share how much it helped to have their pet’s final moments be gentle, calm, and free from fear. And each message, each story, is a reminder of why I do what I do.

I’m so deeply grateful to be able to offer this service. It is a profound honor to be invited into your homes during such a tender time, to help create a space where goodbye can be soft, where love can be felt fully, and where a beautiful life can be honored with grace.

Thank you for trusting me. Thank you for letting me walk alongside you and your pet. And thank you for sharing your hearts with me.

💔 Saying goodbye is never easy, especially to a loyal companion like Nitro. Over the weekend, I had to bid farewell to my beloved farm dog after 17 incredible years by my side. Nitro wasn't just a pet; he was a guardian, a friend, and a true member of our farm family.

In those 17 years, Nitro's presence was more than just comforting; it was essential. He saved countless lambs from coyotes, stood by mischievous horses in their escapades, and yes, even once protected me from a bear. His bravery knew no bounds, and his loyalty was unwavering.

Nitro wasn't just a farm hand; he was my right-hand man, my confidant, and my closest friend. His wagging tail and gentle eyes brought joy to every corner of our farm, and his absence leaves an irreplaceable void in our hearts.

Saying goodbye to Nitro has been one of the hardest things I've ever had to do. The bond we shared transcended words, and the pain of his loss is profound. But amidst the grief, I find solace in knowing that Nitro lived a life filled with love, purpose, and adventure.

To all who have experienced the pain of saying farewell to a cherished companion, my heart goes out to you. The love we share with our furry friends is immeasurable, and the memories we create together will forever be cherished.

Rest in peace, dear Nitro. Thank you for 17 years of unconditional love, unwavering loyalty, and countless cherished memories. You will always hold a special place in our hearts. 🐾❤️
