Got a new rescue kitty. He's pretty sick with an upper respiratory infection, eye infection and 2 types of worms, but he's the sweetest little baby ever. I had gone to a friend of mine's house and saw him when we were outside playing with the kids and she told me the person who had him abandoned him. And, since the weather had been so cold, I brought him home and took him to the vet the next day. He goes back in 2 weeks for his shots. He's looking a lot better than he did 3 days ago. He purrs so much when petted and loves kisses on the head. I figure in a couple weeks he'll be ready to go to a forever home. Is there anyone wanting to adopt a beautiful, loving kitten, about 8 weeks old???

As Spring starts, we are getting more and more phone calls about red bites on your dogs stomach. We wanted to give everyone this information, these are a type of fly bite, and dogs generally get them from laying in the grass. They look terrible, but usually do not bother the dogs. They heal quickly on their own, and do not require any treatment. These flies are usually around for a few weeks every spring and then go away. We hope this eases any worry that you may have had about your own dog!

I'm going to have hickies all over my neck and chest. No, not from my husband...from these kittens wanting to suckle after eating. It calms them down so, I'm TRYING not to cry as they jab their little claws into my skin while suckling. They're about 3 weeks old, so I want them as happy and content as they can be!!

All 3 were purring this morning while doing it...it warmed my heart to hear all 3 purring (or as I tell Ariella, their happy sound) a the same time and not just screaming. I think they have accepted me as their mother... Happy Mother's Day weekend to me!

Look everybody, I of anyone know that times are hard, but if you have an extra dollar or 2 lying around and you can skip bying that snickers bar or soft drink later,.I'm begging you...every dollar helps. And if you can't afford to donate, PLEASE SHARE. Aurora needs her right rear leg amputated. They want $1000-$1200. Her wound looks so horrible, I can't post it on here. Bones are sticking out, tendons are showing, muscles are showing, her skin is gone, her fur is not there. She is so small. She is so sweet. She deserves the best. So please don't just scroll by. Pass it along. It just takes a second to share. Maybe your friend has $5 and maybe her friend has $10. It adds up. I don't normally beg, but I'm begging you. Please, if you can't donate a dollar, then please share and don't just share, ask your friends to share also.

With a number of unfortunate incidents occurring around the globe continuously, we cannot expect for a silver lining that would tone down, even for a few minutes, the unfortunate destruction that is unraveling before our very eyes. However, luckily sometimes it can come in the form of heart-touching...

Our newest rescue. We named her Sunshine. I couldn't stand to see this beautiful girl so scared and stuck in the pound.
