Sometimes in the crazy and hectic of everyday schedules and responsibilities, I forget just how blessed we are. Today, as I looked at our dogs, I remembered years of wanting and wishing we could have a black lab. Family responsibilities, a child with significant special needs, and tight finances meant we couldn’t make that commitment for more than 20 years. And then, the Lord saw fit for things to fall in place. Initial tears and disappointment that had us leave a deposit behind lead to an unforeseen opportunity to renew a friendship, assist with whelping and caring for a brand new litter, and having the perfect pup chosen for us. Now, years later, black labs are a staple in my house🙌🏻.
I don’t always think about that journey or the ups and downs associated with it that continue to be an integral part of my growth as a child of a loving God. Today, I want to publicly thank the Lord for his merciful grace, kindness, and patience, and for leading us to wonderful individuals who have helped us successfully raise these beautiful dogs.
For those still hoping, don’t give up. 🙏🏻 When the time is right, either in this life or the next, you’ll have the pup you need and want at your side and understand better why the waiting was necessary.
❤️❤️❤️

Happy Father’s Day to Braxton!!! What an amazing stud he was for our first two litters with Aila Jean 🥰❤️🥰
Thank you, Lenore, for letting us use him! 🙏🏻

His beautiful brown eyes have been declared normal, clearing another hurdle on the journey to being ready to breed in August. He’s so handsome 🥰. Genetic testing done and eyes cleared, heart is next! ❤️❤️❤️

We went from puppying 24/7 to no puppies and then finally to packing up the “puppy room” until next time. It is surreal, a mix of sadness and joy - sadness because raising puppies and meeting so many wonderful people is now paused and joy because every text/email/photo is a sweet reminder of the beautiful connections that have been made and light that is now being shared. Puppy families, we love you and are excited for you, your puppy, and all the relationships that have begun. Please keep the photos and messages coming. Until next time… ❤️❤️❤️

Our sweet red collared boy joined his forever family last week and helped them decorate their tree. ❤️ We are so happy for him and his family. Such a blessing to know he’s already so loved!

This sweet and charming beauty, Yellow, found her furever home today. She’s headed home and will shortly be meeting children arriving home from school completely unaware that this bundle of light and warmth will be greeting them today - what a wonderful surprise! 🥰🥹🥰 I can’t wait to hear all about it!

❤️❤️❤️

Olive (dark green) left this morning, the sweet fulfillment of years of preparation and patiently waiting for the time and circumstances to be right for this beautiful family - preparation and patience that will bless Olive as she begins her new life, learning and growing into her full potential with loads of immediate and extended family love and support. She is READY and they are adorable!!! 🥰
