Starting in Oct 15 2024 I will have an open retirement paddock (30x120) with shelter for one horse this a retired horse spot. So no use of arena. Comes with feeding twice a day fly mask on and off. Basic medication given. Supplement fed (owner to provide). Please message me if interested and would like more info

Friday Fact - Tendons

🐎 Tendons are fibrous cords of connective tissue that connect muscle to bone.

🐎They are found throughout the body but it's the tendons of the lower leg which are of most interest when it comes to our horse's performance.

🐎Tendons are formed when the muscle bulk tapers into dense, longitudinally arranged, parallel bundles to collagen. These have high tensile strength allowing them to withstand enormous loads.

🐎New collagen is produced from cells called fibroblasts, which are interspersed between collagen fibres.

🐎Old collagen is constantly being replaced by new fibres. The entire tendon is replaced every 6 months.

🐎Poor blood supply makes tendons slow to heal.

It was a Long hot show but a good one. Just want to thank all my clients for the hard work and long hot hours. Came home with some
nice ribbons and buckles. Still
Waiting to hear on trail. But it was to hot to stay.
Also a big thank you to. Jenna McCall. For keeping the horse all well cared for and walking a million miles to and from the barn with them

Today I sat down and read the buyers letter I have received them I sent out a few checks as add on they are not large but I know every little bit will help. With all the Fairs shut down and auctions going to online. Think about doing add ons you don’t have to purchase an entire animal . Please help support our local 4-H and FFA youth Who have worked so hard raising their project animals
