This post is to request that if you purchased a puppy from us and have not yet registered their micro-chip PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO SO. I had a call from AKC REUNITE this morning trying to confirm the name of the purchaser of a pup that was chipped with one of my chips but never registered so that we could reunite the pup with the owner. PLEASE do not assume that your pup will never get our or escape their yard or your house as it happens. it has even happened to me but with out that chip and them registered it is just luck that you will find your loved one. I chip for just that reason. I can resite multiple examples of just my experiences where that chip got a pet back to their home. So please take 5 mins and register that chip if you have not yet done so. Thank you Rebecca

Busy day. Our 3 girls went in for their OFA’s and Cardio’s today and all had excellent reviews . Saturday will be Eyes and our DNA’s are already done and we are ready for our first litters. Such sweet girls and can’t wait for their pups July sometime. Will keep the updates coming. Shadow dark chocolate Kimber light chocolate and Ellie Mae black. All are 69-73 lb American labs .

Our last little girl went home today. She is going to have some amazing adventures with her dad and can’t wait to see her hunting skills develop. Happy tails and ducks you two.

Little Miss Reba tonight . Sitting after about 10 minutes of working with. She is a very smart and sweet girl. She also just put herself to bed . Couldn’t find her and she was in her pen asleep on her blanket. Good girl.

Labrador retrievers all come with the same core set of traits. It doesn’t matter where they’re from… they all seem to follow the exact same blueprint.

1. Zero personal space
If you sit down, they’re next to you. If you lay down, they’re on you. Not close… physically attached. They will find a way to fit into your space even when there clearly isn’t room.

2. Always hungry. ALWAYS
This isn’t occasional. This is a constant state of being. They don’t eat because they’re hungry… they eat because the opportunity exists. Full meal, snacks, something dropped on the floor… it’s all treated the same.

3. Velcro
Where you go, they go. Room to room, step for step. Not in an obvious way either… you just turn around and they’re there. Quiet, committed, and fully involved in whatever you’re doing.

4. Zoomies at least once a day
No warning, no build up. One second they’re calm, the next they’re sprinting through the house like something just switched on. It’s fast, chaotic, and over just as quickly as it started.

5. The stare
No barking, no whining… just a steady, unblinking stare. Usually directed at whatever you’re eating. It’s patient, persistent, and somehow effective enough to make you question if you should share.

It’s a very specific type of dog.

And somehow, every Labrador seems to come exactly the same way.
