WE ARE BOOKED! Thank you all!

We only have ONE position remaining for our 4-week Board & Train program this September! This spot is available at our promotional pricing before we take several weeks off in November.

Our 4-week program includes:

• All basic obedience
• Behavioral screening & evaluation
• Introduction to housebreaking
• Household manners & boundaries
• Enrichment throughout their stay
• Training tailored to your dog’s individual needs

Beginning the last week of August and continuing through October, Caution K9 Kennels will be offering a special promotion on a limited number of Board & Train spots!

With us preparing to go out on medical leave beginning in November, this is a great opportunity to get your dog in for training before we temporarily step away.

Board & Train can help with obedience, manners, impulse control, leash skills, recall, and building a stronger foundation that carries over into everyday life.

Availability will be limited through September and October, so don’t wait until the last minute!

🐾 Training Advice of the Day: Impulse Control

Impulse control starts with the little things. Reward stillness and calm behavior instead of always waiting for your dog to do something.

Practice recall often. Tethering is also a great tool because it teaches your dog to settle, stay close, and understand that they don’t have to interact with everything around them. Have them wait before going through doors, getting out of the car, eating, or getting something they want.

The goal is simple: teach your dog to stop, think, and look to you instead of immediately reacting. Reward them for the behavior you want to see! You are looking for calmness, checking in, being relaxed around stimulation, and staying engaged with you rather than the environment. Sometimes the smallest steps cover the biggest hurdles later on!

On August 1, 2026, we lost a great man. He was a great husband, father, son, uncle, in law and friend to many of us. He left behind many people that truly loved and cared about him. This was a tragedy that no one ever expected.. The family is in need of everything that you could imagine. If you can....

JD was a close friend to us at Caution K9 Kennels and his family as well. If you are unable to donate, please extend your prayers to the family during this difficult time as the navigate this tragedy.

JD Vaughn was a well known, and very loved member of our area.
His passing yesterday was very unexpected and his family needs all the help and prayers they can get.
Please also pray for other 5 people were injured in wreck. This is just a very tragic accident.
