Late night pajama party anyone? 🌙🐾

Nope? Just us. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Yes, we train at ALL hours. Morning, afternoon, and night when the time calls for it. When you board your dog with us, we work around the clock on house manners, kennel training, and identifying problematic areas. We screen our boarding dogs for everything and keep owners informed along the journey.

Foxy is doing excellent with her training and is closing in on finishing her obedience program with us! We started by identifying the approach she needed, understanding her previous reactions to the leash, and building a new understanding that obedience can be rewarding.

Every dog is different, and sometimes the biggest part of training is figuring out what works for that individual dog. ❤️ & Yes, Big Al is wondering and expressing his discontent about not being able to tag along. 😮‍💨

Everyone meet Foxy!

We have been slacking on posting recently, but life happens! Foxy is here learning basic obedience and house manners. She is an absolute comical dog with a wonderful boxer temperament, and there is never a dull moment especially with yoga balls! Updates will follow as the cooler weather is coming!

We are still currently booked until mid November and then will proceed after medical clearance.

We only have ONE position remaining for our 4-week Board & Train program this September! This spot is available at our promotional pricing before we take several weeks off in November.

Our 4-week program includes:

• All basic obedience
• Behavioral screening & evaluation
• Introduction to housebreaking
• Household manners & boundaries
• Enrichment throughout their stay

Beginning the last week of August and continuing through October, Caution K9 Kennels will be offering a special promotion on a limited number of Board & Train spots!

With us preparing to go out on medical leave beginning in November, this is a great opportunity to get your dog in for training before we temporarily step away.

Board & Train can help with obedience, manners, impulse control, leash skills, recall, and building a stronger foundation that carries over into everyday life.

🐾 Training Advice of the Day: Impulse Control

Impulse control starts with the little things. Reward stillness and calm behavior instead of always waiting for your dog to do something.

Practice recall often. Tethering is also a great tool because it teaches your dog to settle, stay close, and understand that they don’t have to interact with everything around them. Have them wait before going through doors, getting out of the car, eating, or getting something they want.

The goal is simple: teach your dog to stop, think, and look to you instead of immediately reacting. Reward them for the behavior you want to see! You are looking for calmness, checking in, being relaxed around stimulation, and staying engaged with you rather than the environment. Sometimes the smallest steps cover the biggest hurdles later on!
