🚨 TOMORROW starts NH’s 24 hour day of giving! Please consider supporting our goal of raising $2,000 for water access for the cow gals and beyond. As always, we appreciate you being here! ❤️ If you can’t donate, please share. 🐮 💧

NH Gives starts June 9 at 5 PM and closes June 10 at 5 PM! This is NH’s annual day of giving! Help us raise $2,000 for water access for the animals. We installed the water conduits Fall 2025 and now need to finish the job. These funds will add water to 4 key locations…

🏠 The Feed Cottage: right now we are carrying down 5 gallon containers to make the meals for the animals. Multiple animals need a wet mash due to their old age or health needs.

🐮 The cows: we’ve been running a 100 foot hose 365 days a year for 3 years, even in the winter. We’ve trudged through 4 feet plus of snow drifts to get water to the cow gals.

🐰 The Fluffle Flat: a hydrant near the bunny flat is ready to provide water to an outdoor Remembrance Veggie Garden to feed the herd. They all love fresh veggies.

🌾 Queen’s wish pasture so that we can easily provide water to the animals when they are grazing. Plus this site allows for future expansion…maybe it can be home to more animals one day. 💕

Water access is vital to our operations! By contributing to this project you are making so much possible now and in the future. As always, thanks for your support.

Help us welcome this girl by getting her some sponsors! She needs to be spayed and actually needs a set up with a roof because we learned she is a climber. 😬 She is 100% wild because she was born outside and has never had interactions like this with humans or been in a home. It’s all a scary new world to her and she is just trying to survive.

Luna’s Story 🐇

In April 2025, we got word of abandoned pet bunnies roaming a local neighborhood. We stepped into action and were able to secure one (Cho) and could not catch her friend. We thought there were only two bunnies and Cho’s friend was taken by predators until....fast forward to June 2026! Co-founder Jen saw a community facebook post about a pet bunny roaming the very same neighborhood that Cho was found in 2025. Then someone commented how one bunny made a home in their shed and has been living on their property for over a year. We sprang into action to rescue this bunny who defied all odds. It was a terrible cold winter with multiple cold snaps in the negative double digits. How did she survive? Well, she lived in their lawnmover and tucked herself up under the blades. While there, she had dried grass. This sustained her through the harsh winter months. Thankfully, the homeowners were amazing and allowed us set traps to catch her. And we did!

Luna is somehow related by blood to Cho. She could be her daughter or grandaughter or neice. We learned that Cho was dumped with 6 other pet bunnies in April 2025. None were spayed or neutered, so they had babies. Luna was a baby in 2025 and could be the daughter of Cho. Too bad we can’t do a bunny genetic test, but they are 100% family in origin. Now, a family reunited!

Your contribution allows us to continue this work. We run 100% on donations and volunteers!

Sponsorship perks include:

-Seasonal email updates on Luna, which include behind the scenes information and pictures not shared on social media

-A welcome packet with a personalized sponsorship certificate and letter all about Luna

-First dibs on registering for events and experiences at the sanctuary

-Direct access to schedule private sanctuary visits

🤯 We thought this was going to take much longer than it did. This bunny got a taste of carrots and loved them so much that they followed the trail of carrots into the trap. No joke! I (co-founder Jen) moved the trap and created a carrot trail the afternoon before. I went back 24 hours later and bingo!

👏 A big thanks to the homeowners who made this possible! They are just the nicest people who were hoping for a happy ending for this bunny. The homeowners watched them grow up from a baby over the course of a year. We talked about how they will miss seeing the bunny daily around their yard. They can’t wait to visit once the bunny settles into sanctuary. 🥹

Since this bunny was a baby a year ago, it’s possible that they are Cho’s offspring! 😮 Cho was not spayed when we got her…so it’s possible… 😳

What’s next? Well, they went for a vet check up yesterday because living out in the wild for a year could bring some contagious stuff. The bun will stay isolated until we figure out spay or neutering.

🙋‍♀️ What gender is our new bun? AND what is their name?
Stay tuned to find out when we launch their sponsorship opportunity on Sunday! Don’t miss it!

We have a lot of wish list needs for the buns and especially now with another. Links in the comments or bio.

Don’t miss the LONG epic journey of ONE sanctuary piggie to the grazing space. 🤣 Hagrid was not built for long strolls but can easily make it to the pasture outside his door. Hagrid loves the pasture and all the good eats and rooting opportunities. More to come this season for this piggie!

PLOT TWIST! The bunny is not lop eared like Cho’s sister. Therefore it is a different bunny of the 5 who Cho was dumped with. This bunny has sticky up ears, which is different than the one spotted with Cho. It is also quite large and appears to be almost double the size of Cho. Therefore this could be a male bunny. The homeowners also say he was a baby a year ago. They watched him grow up. So he has been unhandled and feral most of his life. He doesn’t know anything about humans. ☹️

He literally lives in wild bunny paradise. He has a freshwater stream and apple tree, low hanging brush, and hung out under an RV all winter with multiple other home options which he rotated between. There are a ton of den and hiding places for this dude. 🫣 He has also tried to make his way under the homeowners house multiple times. The homeowner has reinforced the house and this big guy has been so determined that he has moved much of the barriers. 🙊 He is also turning on the motion light in the shed multiple times a night. He is using electricity like it’s free. The homeowners want to see him go to a good home.

All of this is to say…catching him will be tough! But we finally caught him on a camera. That’s why we know so much. The homeowners have been so nice with letting us have cameras to track his movements.

Stay tuned…this may be a long adventure. 🤪

Maxime also loves immediately adding 💩 to fresh shavings. We just got them out of the bag and she came over to add her contribution. 💩 We wish we were making that up 😂 But IYKYK …farm animals love to immediately leave their mark as soon as you are done cleaning. 💩

We love seeing Maxime so happy. ❤️ We will add more brushes soon but they won’t last long with her aggressive style of brushing. 😬 She snaps the 3 inch screws. 😮

Remember Cho’s friend she was abandoned with? Well, she is still alive! It turns out that Cho was dumped with 4 other pet bunnies in April 2025. They think it was a family of 5 bunnies with 2 parents and 3 young bunnies. The other 3 were likely taken by predators and haven’t been seen since. Someone was moving and couldn’t take their bunnies so they dumped them in a 40 acre field. 💔

Cho’s sister moved from the home we were working with while catching Cho. She made a den in a shed at a different home. No wonder we lost track of her! Per the homeowner, she spent a lot of time this winter tucked into the lawnmower deck blades. They haven’t fed her, so it sounds like she was living off the dried grass in the lawnmower. It’s a miracle Cho’s sister is still alive. We feel she is a girl because Cho was not pregnant when we captured her. But who knows!

Now is the hard part. She has been an elusive bunny who is clearly very smart to have survived in the wild for over a year. We don’t know how she survived the cold winter without real food or water. This rescue mission could take days or weeks or months. So please be patient as we work to bring her to safety and reunite her with her family!

We also worry about the type of condition she will be in. Is she healthy? Does she have fleas or parasites? Is she hurt? If we catch her, we will have to keep her isolated for a bit to assess her. There are infectious viruses that can be caught from wild bunnies so we want to be cautious. Looks like Jen may have a bunny co-worker in her office once again!! 🥰🤞
