Two strong, consistent futurity runs against tough competition. While the barrels cost them on paper, Kelly walked away extremely happy with where Pocket is at and the consistency she continues to show every time she enters the arena.

Not every run is perfect, but every run matters.

Pocket stepped into the arena at the Ruby Buckle and gave Kelly something to build on. Got a little lost going to second, but that’s part of it and exactly where horses get made.

“Got lost going to second, still so happy with Pocket. She’s going to be a solid contender when the seasoning period is complete.”

That’s the mindset. Learn, adjust, come back better.

“Mistakes only make us better. I’m far from perfect, but I strive to do better each time and learn and keep going.”
