In honor of the one and only Dolly Parton, we’re putting a little extra love into today’s post! 🎶✨
Dolly has always had a way of reminding us that a little kindness, a little compassion, and a whole lot of love can make the world a better place. And honestly… I think our four-legged friends deserve all of that and MORE!
From happy pups to sweet kitties, every pet I care for becomes part of the Wags-N-Whiskers family. 🐾
Because when their humans have to be away, my job is simple: love them, spoil them, keep them safe, and make sure they never feel alone.

Just another evening with one of my furry customers!
Max likes to keep things classy. After a long day of being adorable, he enjoys a little charcuterie, a glass of wine 🍷 and some quiet time to reflect on how exhausting it is being this cute. 😂🐶
Honestly, I think he has the right idea.
At Wags-N-Whiskers, we believe your pets deserve to be spoiled, pampered and treated like family while you’re away. And apparently… sometimes that includes happy hour. 😉

She keeps Jeannie on her toes!
While pet sitting she found Leia happily hanging out on the dining room table like she owned the place. 😂
This silly girl definitely has a personality of her own! You just never know what Leia is going to get into next. One thing is for sure… she keeps life interesting and makes every visit a little more fun. 💕🙃

🐾 Meet Buddy & Minnie! 🐾
Some pets leave paw prints on your heart the moment you meet them, and these two certainly have.
Buddy is the sweetest little senior terrier you'll ever meet. ❤️ He's completely spoiled (just the way it should be!), loves cuddles, treats, and being close to his big sister. His adorable little fauxhawk gives him so much personality, and even though his age is catching up with him, he still soaks up every bit of love and attention he can get.
Minnie, the beautiful coonhound rescue, is a gentle soul. She's a little shy at first, but once she trusts you, she'll happily roll over for belly rubs and melt your heart.
It has been such a privilege spending time with these two. Senior pets have a special way of reminding us to slow down, appreciate the little moments, and love with our whole hearts. ❤️

As we head into the 4th of July, we want to remind all pet parents that fireworks can be very stressful and even dangerous for pets.
To keep your pets safe this holiday:
• Keep pets indoors during fireworks
• Close blinds and turn on soft background noise (TV or music)
• Make sure collars & ID tags are secure
• Create a safe, quiet space for them to retreat
• Never take pets to fireworks shows
• Avoid leaving pets outside, even in fenced yards

I am so excited and grateful to share that Wags-n-Whiskers has been named the 2026 CommunityVotes Wilmington Platinum Winner for Pet Sitting!
From the bottom of my heart, thank you to every client who trusted me with your beloved pets, voted for me, recommended me to friends and family, and supported this small local business. Your pets are truly part of my extended family, and it is a privilege to care for them when you can't be there.

🚨Hot Pavement Warning for Our Furry Friends!
As the temperatures rise, the pavement can become dangerously hot for your pets! It only takes a few seconds for severe paw burns to occur. If the ground is too hot for your bare hands or feet, it’s definitely too hot for your dog.
Safety Tips:
Check the ground temperature: Place the back of your hand on the pavement for 7 seconds. If it’s too hot for you, it’s too hot for them!
Walk during cooler parts of the day (early morning or late evening).
Stick to grassy areas whenever possible.
We prioritize your pet’s safety. Remember that conditions can change rapidly, and as always, NEVER leave your pet in a parked car! 🐾
