The face of someone who would like to speak to management about the cone. 😂

After anesthesia, it’s normal for your pet to be a little sleepy, groggy or less interested in food while the medications wear off. Some pets can also experience nausea, which is why we may recommend starting with a smaller meal once they’re awake, alert and ready to eat.

A quiet evening, limited activity and following those post-op instructions (yes, including wearing the cone!) can help make recovery a little easier. Every patient and procedure is different, so always follow the instructions your veterinary team sends home with your pet.

Happy National Dog Day to some of the very best patients around! 🐶 💙We get to watch them grow, help keep them healthy, and get more than a few tail wags along the way. It’s a pretty great job to have.

Late summer can be a rough time for our itchy pups! Grass, pollen and mold can trigger environmental allergies, and fleas can cause allergic reactions too. You might notice more scratching, licking or chewing at the paws, irritated skin, hot spots or recurring ear trouble.

If your dog is constantly itchy, they don’t have to just tough it out until the season changes. Prescription allergy medications and other treatment options can help control the itch and keep them comfortable.

Happy Take Your Cat to the Vet Day! 😻

Cats are incredibly good at hiding when something doesn’t feel right, which is one reason routine wellness visits are so important. Regular checkups give us a chance to catch subtle changes and keep a close eye on their health, even when everything seems perfectly fine at home.

One of the harder parts of veterinary medicine? Our patients aren’t very good at answering questions. 😂

Thankfully, they give us plenty of other clues! A thorough exam, bloodwork, f***l testing, and sometimes X-rays or ultrasound can help us get to the bottom of things and figure out the best way to get them feeling better.
