2026 Texas Taxidermy show was enjoyable again this year. Brooklynn and i competed in the professional division she took a blue and a red ribbon home and I ended up with 3 reds. We will continue to learn and get better. I seem to have a hard time locking in and fully committing to the competitive Taxidermy side. I believe with Brooklynn getting more involved it may help me to dial in more moving forward we will see. It was nice to meet new faces and catch up with some old ones. We always pick up plenty of knowledge at these shows as there are so many incredible artist in this state! As for my pieces I took 2 javelinas I was able to take with a bow back in 2022 and a customer’s Saskatchewan Whitetail! Oh almost forgot to mention had the entire crew there this year Brylee came down from college and volunteered for the Association. Always warms my heart to have my family all in one spot!
