**CAT CAFE**🐾 HELP US BUILD A BETTER FUTURE FOR RESCUE CATS! 🐱💕

Many of you have been following our journey as we prepare to open Luxe Purr Lounge in Woodridge, IL. But did you know we've also created Luxe Purr Foundation, an official 501(c)(3) nonprofit?

Our Foundation is dedicated to providing rescue cats with a safe, enriching environment where they can thrive, receive love and socialization, and have a better chance of finding their forever homes. ❤️

We're raising funds to transform our new space into a beautiful, cat-centered environment with climbing structures, cozy resting areas, enrichment equipment, and dedicated cat-care facilities.

💕 Our fundraising goal is $105,000!

It's an ambitious goal, but every donation brings us closer to creating something special for cats in need.

🐾 Can't donate? Sharing this post helps too! You can also tag animal lovers or local businesses who may be interested in supporting our mission through donations, materials, or services.

🍂🐾 Growing your dog’s coat out for winter? Don’t skip the groom completely!

We hear it every fall:
“It’s getting cold, so I’m going to let their hair grow out.”

And that’s totally fine! The problem is what can happen while that coat is growing.

Longer coats + wet fall weather + eventually snow, sweaters and winter gear = a much higher chance of matting.

And once a coat becomes severely matted, there may not be enough coat left to safely brush out or save. That’s how we end up having to shave dogs short right in the middle of freezing winter weather — exactly what everyone was trying to avoid! 🥶

✂️ That’s where a Bath & Tidy comes in.

A Bath & Tidy is the perfect maintenance appointment while you’re growing out your dog’s coat. We can:

🐾 Thoroughly bathe, dry & brush out the coat
🐾 Remove loose/dead coat before it tangles
🐾 Clean up the face, feet & sanitary areas
🐾 Catch knots and tangles before they turn into mats
🐾 Keep that longer winter coat clean, comfortable and manageable

You don’t have to choose between a full haircut and skipping grooming altogether.

Let the coat grow — just maintain it while it does. 💜

📅 Book your dog’s Bath & Tidy at The Barker Shop and help keep that fluffy winter coat fluffy!

🐾 We have some pretty exciting news to share from The Barker Shop family! 💜

Many of you know that we've been working behind the scenes on a completely new adventure — Luxe Purr Lounge, an upscale cat lounge + café featuring adoptable cats. 🐱☕️

And we've officially reached a BIG milestone…

📍 Luxe Purr is headed to WOODRIDGE!

We've taken a major step forward on a potential location right off I-355 and are now working through the final lease process and Village approvals.

The Barker Shop isn't going anywhere! 🐶💜 This is a completely separate business, and we're incredibly excited to bring everything we've learned from nearly two decades of serving local pet families into something brand new — this time for the cats. 🐱

We're keeping the exact location under wraps until everything is finalized, but we'll be sharing plenty more as Luxe Purr starts coming to life.

If you want to follow the journey from plans ➡️ construction ➡️ cats ➡️ opening day, make sure you're following Luxe Purr Lounge! 💜🐾
