💙 Thank You, Mountain View, MO Community Betterment ! 💙

Friends of Ferals would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Mountain View, MO Community Betterment for their generous donation of $500 in support of our community program.

Because of their investment in our community, we were able to spay/neuter and rabies vaccinate 11 more community cats right here in Mountain View.

Every cat sterilized and vaccinated helps protect public health, reduce future suffering, and improve quality of life throughout our community.

The impact of those 11 cats goes far beyond the individual cats helped. Preventing just those 11 cats from reproducing could prevent the birth of an estimated 660 kittens in a single year.

That's fewer kittens in need of homes, fewer animals suffering from disease and injury, fewer entering already strained rescue systems, and healthier neighborhoods for both people and animals.

Mountain View, MO Community Betterments' mission is to strengthen and improve our local community, and this donation does exactly that. By supporting proactive, humane solutions, they are helping create a healthier, safer, and more compassionate Mountain View—not only today, but for years to come.

This is what community in action looks like.

Please join us in thanking Mountain View, MO Community Betterment for investing in lasting solutions that improve lives—both animal and human, now and for the future.

Together, we're building a healthier, happier and stronger community. 🐾

🐾MoSHA Monday 🐾 - What if renewing your license plates could help save lives?

Every Missouri I’m Pet Friendly license plate helps fund spay/neuter programs that reduce pet overpopulation and improve the health and welfare of both animals and people throughout our state.

At Friends of Ferals, we see the impact every day. Spay/neuter means:
🐱 Fewer kittens born outdoors to struggle and suffer
🐶 Fewer pets entering shelters and rescues
🏡 Healthier neighborhoods with fewer nuisance behaviors
❤️ Better lives for pets, community cats, and the people in our communities

For just a few extra dollars each year, your vehicle can become a rolling statement that you support responsible pet stewardship, humane solutions and a better future.

🚗 If you already have a Missouri Pet Friendly plate, thank you! Post a picture in the comments and tell us why you support spay/neuter.

🚗 If you don't have one yet, consider making your next plate renewal a lifesaving one. Every plate helps fund programs that make a real difference in communities across Missouri—including rural communities like ours.

Friends of Ferals is proud to support MoSHA and the Missouri I’m Pet Friendly license plate program. We hope you'll join us in helping create healthier communities for both cats and people.

Because every plate tells a story—and every spay or neuter changes one.

The R in TNR, stands for Return! Cats are returned, to where they were trapped. Where our compassionate community members continue to provide food, clean water and winter shelters.
These now fixed, vaccinated and left ear tipped cats are part of the solution to community cat overpopulations.
No 'Vacuum Effect' here.

SPAY🔸NEUTER 🔸PREVENT SUFFERING

Free kittens often lead to more free kittens. 😿

Unaltered cats continue the cycle, and too many of those kittens eventually end up homeless, suffering outdoors, or overwhelming shelters and rescues already struggling to keep up.

Packing up to reset traps for Trap training and this TNR Alumni wants to come along.

Do you think he want to advoCATe or another vacay at the health retreat? 😹😻

The T in TNR stands for Trap. Not Traumatize.
Our kittie clients quite enjoy their stay with us.

🚐🐾 A Truly “Heaven Sent” Gift 🐾🚐
We would like to express our deepest gratitude to Shayla Black . Because of her incredibly generous vehicle donation, we are able to continue our community work at maximum CAT-pacity. 😸

Transportation has always been 100% volunteer-powered:
💙 Volunteer vehicles
💙 Volunteer fuel
💙 Volunteer maintenance
💙 Volunteer time — 15 hour vet days, 6+ hour trap days, 3+ hour survey days, transporting equipment and cats across our local communities

Our volunteers truly give far more than they take to help improve lives for both cats and people.

Unfortunately, one of our primary transport vans was taken out by a deer… and let’s face it — not many vehicles (or people 😹) are eager or willing to transport 30+ cats, for hours at a time.

So when Shayla donated this van, it was truly heaven sent.
And the impact was immediate:
✨ In just ONE day, this van helped change the lives of 66 cats and kittens, their compassionate caregivers and our local community.

That means:
🐾 More cats safely transported
🐾 More spay/neuter access
🐾 More suffering prevented
🐾 Stronger, healthier communities for both cats and people

Because of this incredible donation, we also hope to proudly support and sport a Missouri “I’m Pet Friendly” license plate next year — helping further raise awareness and support spay/neuter across Missouri.
💙 Drop your cleaver plate ideas in comments.

While we are NOT asking for fuel, maintenance, insurance, or licensing support for this van…
👉 We ARE asking for help to spay it forward, so no cat is left behind.

Every donation helps provide:
✔️ Spay/neuter surgeries
✔️ Rabies vaccinations
✔️ Medical care
✔️ A healthier future for cats and people in our community

From the bottom of our hearts — THANK YOU, Shayla. 💙🐱
