🐾 MEET WOODY — THREE LEGS, ONE BIG HEART! 🧡
Woody is a 4-year-old orange tabby who has been through quite a bit, but you would never know it by meeting him!
Woody recently had one of his back legs amputated, but don’t tell him he’s missing anything! This sweet boy gets around just fine on three legs and hasn’t let it slow him down. He absolutely LOVES people, is incredibly friendly, and just wants someone to love him back.
❤️ There’s one more thing about Woody we want you to know. He’s FIV positive.
Before that scares you away, let’s talk about what that actually means!
FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) affects a cat’s immune system, but an FIV-positive diagnosis is NOT a death sentence!
Research has shown that many FIV-positive cats can live long, happy lives, sometimes with lifespans comparable to cats without FIV.
🐱 A few things you should know about FIV:
FIV is NOT contagious to humans, dogs, or other animals besides cats.
It is primarily spread through deep bite wounds between cats, not through casual contact, sharing food bowls, or grooming.
Many FIV-positive cats live for years without showing any signs of illness.
With good nutrition, regular veterinary care, and a safe indoor home, they can enjoy a wonderful quality of life!
For Woody, we’re looking for a home where he can be the only cat, giving him a safe, comfortable environment where he can get all the attention he deserves.
Woody doesn’t know he’s different. He doesn’t know he has FIV, and he certainly doesn’t care that he only has three legs. He just knows he loves people and wants to be loved.
🧡 This boy has already overcome so much. Now he just needs a soft place to land and someone willing to give him a chance.
Please don’t overlook Woody because of a diagnosis or a missing leg. He has so much love left to give!
