❤️🐾 7 Years of Marriage, and One Very Special Guest Front and Center! 🐾❤️

Seven years ago today, we said “I do,” and of course, our Camo Boy had a front-row seat to it all! Because even then, he wasn’t just our dog. He was family. ❤️

When we say at Heavenly Paws that we understand they’re not just pets, they’re family, we truly mean it. We’re pet parents, too. We’ve celebrated birthdays, holidays, anniversaries, and life’s biggest milestones with our four-legged family members right by our sides.

And I truly believe that’s part of what makes Heavenly Paws different.

This isn’t just a job to us. It’s personal. ❤️

We genuinely love the families we meet, and one of our favorite parts of what we do is hearing your stories. The funny memories, the little quirks, the adventures, and all the milestones your beloved pets have been part of.

Happy 9th Birthday to our Camo! 🎉🐾💙

Camo is so much more than a dog to me—he is truly my soul dog. It’s hard to explain the kind of comfort he brings, but after a long or stressful day, snuggling with him somehow makes everything feel okay again.

He is incredibly stubborn, will honestly do anything to get to me, steals just about everything from his Frenchie sister Meadow, and sleeps more than he is awake. 😂 Walkies and food are definitely his love language!

Every good day with Camo is a blessing, and as he turns 9, I’m reminded not to take a single one of those days for granted.

And this is also why, at Heavenly Paws, we understand just how deeply you love the pets you trust us with. We have our own babies waiting for us at home. We know what it feels like for them to be part of your routine, your family, your comfort, and your heart. When you tell us they were your best friend, your baby, or your soul dog—we truly understand.

Happy birthday to my sweet boy, my shadow, my comfort, and such a huge piece of my heart. Here’s to more naps, treats, walkies, stolen toys, and all the snuggles we can get. We love you so much, Camo. 🐶🎂❤️

Today is Doug’s birthday! 🎉♥️

Journey and I had a simple little surprise planned for him this morning—coffee and breakfast together before work and school. We placed a mobile order ahead of time thinking we would have just enough time to pick it up and enjoy a few minutes together before starting our day.

Unfortunately, the business was so busy that our order wasn’t ready in time, and we had to leave so Journey wouldn’t be late for school. At 4 years old, she didn’t understand “they’re really busy.” She just knew that her special birthday surprise for Daddy didn’t happen, and she was absolutely crushed. 💔

I’m genuinely happy to see a business doing so well and staying busy—but today was also a reminder of something we never want to lose sight of at Heavenly Paws.

We are a small, family-owned and operated business. When a family walks through our doors, they aren’t an order number or just another name on a list. Every pet and every family receives our 100% attention, dedication, compassion and care. We understand that what may feel like one small moment in our workday can be a very big moment in someone else’s life.

Sometimes being a small business means growing a little slower, answering one more phone call, spending a little extra time with a family, or simply making sure someone feels seen and cared for.

And that is something I hope Heavenly Paws never outgrows. ♥️🐾

Sometimes the sweetest visitors show up when you least expect them. 🐾♥️

I went home for lunch today and found the sweetest dog standing on my porch looking for a little help. I had to get back to Heavenly Paws, so naturally… he came with me! 😂

We got him inside in the cool air, gave him plenty of water, snapped some photos to post on Facebook, and were getting ready to head to a vet to have him scanned for a microchip.

And you should have seen my husband’s face when I walked into Heavenly Paws with a stray dog on a leash. (Mind you this is not the first time I have picked up a stray that needed some help!) Without missing a beat, he filled the water bowl and grabbed the treats.

Yep… we seriously love them all as if they were our own. ♥️

Thankfully, this story has the very best ending — Gus’ owner has been found and he is safely back home! 🐶🏡

So happy we could give this sweet boy a safe, cool place to hang out while we helped him find his way home. 🐾

Choose compassion. 🐾❤️

You never know what someone may be carrying in their heart.

Maybe they just said goodbye to their best friend. Their constant companion. Their comfort. Their family. Their fur baby who felt every bit like a child.

Pet loss is real grief, and sometimes the person standing beside you is trying to navigate one of the hardest days of their life.

Be patient. Be kind. Give grace.

A little compassion can go a long way when someone’s heart is hurting.

🇺🇸 Never Forget — September 11, 2001 🇺🇸

This morning, the very first family I met with shared a story that stopped me in my tracks.

On September 9, 2001, they had taken their children to a Yankees baseball game. As they made their way home afterward, they found themselves sitting in traffic near the Twin Towers. They remember looking up at them, admiring how incredible they were — never knowing that just two days later, those towers and our entire country would be forever changed.

Twenty-five years later, that memory is still so vivid.

Stories like theirs remind us that September 11th is more than a date in history. It is made up of real people, real families, ordinary moments, and memories that would suddenly carry a meaning no one could have imagined.

Today, we remember the lives lost, the families who never got to say goodbye, the first responders who ran toward danger, and all those whose lives were forever changed.

May we never forget the lives lost, the heroes who served, and the way our country came together in the days that followed.

God bless the families who carry those memories with them every day, and God bless America. 🇺🇸❤️🤍💙

🌈 Understanding In-Home Euthanasia Services 🐾

We often receive questions about the cost of in-home euthanasia, and we want families to understand what makes this service different.

Unfortunately, in-home euthanasia is not the less expensive option compared to visiting a veterinary clinic. It is a very special service designed for families who want their pet’s final moments to take place in the comfort and familiarity of home.

Our partnering veterinarians travel to you and devote that time specifically to your pet and your family. There is no waiting room, no stressful car ride, and no unfamiliar surroundings. Your pet can remain in their favorite bed, on the couch, outside in the sunshine, or wherever they feel most comfortable. ❤️

Because of the travel and dedicated time involved, the cost is typically higher than an appointment at a veterinary clinic.

We also want families to know that in-home euthanasia is a pre-planned service, not an emergency service. Whenever possible, we encourage families to reach out before their pet reaches a crisis. Planning ahead gives us the best opportunity to coordinate with one of our veterinarians and help create a peaceful experience for everyone involved.

We know deciding when to say goodbye is one of the hardest decisions a pet parent will ever make. Our goal is to provide options, guidance, and as much comfort as possible during that difficult time. 🐾❤️
