When your pet comes to CARE, we’re not replacing your family veterinarian. We’re partnering with them.

Think of us as an extension of your pet’s healthcare team, here when the unexpected happens and working alongside your veterinarian to keep care continuous and connected.

Here’s what that partnership looks like:

📋 Every visit is thoroughly documented, including diagnostics, treatments, and discharge instructions.

📞 We communicate directly with your primary veterinarian whenever needed.

🔄 We provide your veterinary team with the information they need to ensure a smooth transition back to ongoing care.

Together, we’re helping pets receive the care they need, whenever they need it. 🐾

Frenchies are hard not to love, but those adorable squishy faces can come with some unique health challenges that every owner should be aware of.

🌡️ Heatstroke: French Bulldogs can overheat very quickly. Avoid hot cars, provide plenty of water, and limit outdoor activity during warm weather.

😮 Breathing difficulties: Conditions like BOAS (Brachycephalic Obstructive Airway Syndrome) can make breathing difficult and may lead to emergencies.

💊 Spinal issues: IVDD (Intervertebral Disc Disease) can cause sudden pain, weakness, or even paralysis of the back legs.

If your Frenchie is struggling to breathe, collapses, becomes unusually lethargic, or suddenly can’t use their back legs, seek veterinary care right away.

Our team is here Friday–Monday to help when the unexpected happens. 🩵🐶

🚨 BLOAT (GDV) IS A LIFE-THREATENING EMERGENCY: KNOW THE SIGNS.

Gastric Dilatation-Volvulus (GDV) happens when a dog's stomach fills with gas and twists, cutting off blood flow. It can go from uncomfortable to fatal in hours.

Watch for:
✔️ Distended or tight belly
✔️ Unproductive retching (trying to vomit but nothing comes up)
✔️ Restlessness, pacing, or inability to get comfortable
✔️ Drooling, pale gums, rapid breathing

At-risk breeds: Great Danes, German Shepherds, Standard Poodles, Weimaraners, and other large deep-chested dogs.

If you see these signs, don't wait. Call us immediately.

This week we’re celebrating the frontline of our clinic, our customer service representatives, because it’s Veterinary Receptionist Week!

They are the first voice you hear when you call in a panic at 2am, the calm presence that greets you when you walk through the door not knowing what’s wrong with your pet, and the last person who makes sure you leave feeling taken care of.

They manage a front desk that never stops moving. Phones ringing, check-ins and discharges being coordinated, tearful conversations handled with grace, and somehow, a smile through all of it.

Behind every smooth day is a receptionist who showed up early, stayed late, and held it all together in between. They are the connective tissue of this practice.

To our Customer Service Representatives, your work matters more than you know. You are not just the front desk. You are the front line of compassionate care, and this week is entirely yours!
