From 30 lbs to 106 lbs, ages 11 months to 11 years — there might be a perfect match waiting on this list.
🌈 URGENT IN MD – 28 DOGS AT RISK
⏰ Must leave by Tuesday, March 17 at 6 PM
🍀 We need a lot of St. Patrick’s Day magic this week. This is the biggest urgent list of 2026, and we are coming off this year’s biggest loss of dogs. The perfect storm.
This week, 28 dogs at the Prince George’s County Animal Services Facility are hoping for a little luck of the Irish.
A foster.
An adopter.
A rescue saying yes.
Sometimes that’s the luck these dogs need. 🍀
✨ 3 dogs are already spayed or neutered, which means they may be able to go home more quickly with an approved application.
🐾 Two rescue groups have already stepped up saying they will pull dogs — but fosters and adopters need to apply NOW. Waiting until the last day makes it much harder for rescues to help.
The pace right now is relentless. The shelter remains severely overcrowded, rescues everywhere are stretched thin, and another group of dogs now needs a miracle.
If you’ve been thinking about helping — now is the time.

🐾 URGENT: Bonnie Needs a Foster or Forever Home 🏡

Meet Bonnie, a sweet German Shepherd mix with one blue eye, one brown eye, and all heart. 💙🤎

This summer, Bonnie was rescued off the streets of D.C. after enduring 100-degree days with her previous owner. Thanks to the kindness of local rescuers, she’s been thriving in foster care — but her current foster is moving, and she needs a new home ASAP.

Bonnie is:
✨ Spayed, house-trained, and up to date on vaccines
🦮 Great with other dogs and currently in training with Dog Tranquility
💗 Smart, loyal, and ready to find her person

There’s a $200 monthly stipend for fosters, and adoption fees are covered. Preference for the D.C. area, but outside adoptions may be considered.
