Meet Shrimp and Grits, our September Staff Pet of the Month! They are double Rex rat siblings that are owned and loved by CSR Alana! They are both 9 months old. Shrimp is a seal point color and Grits is a black hooded color! Alana has had the boys since December of 2025 at which time she drove all the way to Ohio IN A SNOW STORM to get them! Both shrimp and Grits love to sleep, cuddle with their mom and each other and eat! They live the good life with Alana in their ratty penthouse/mansion and they hate anytime they have to leave their luxurious space. Their favorite snacks are chicken, peas and bananas! Alana hasn’t taught them any tricks yet but she does have lots of outfits that she dresses them up in! 🐀 🐀

Meet Linus, out September Client Pet of the Month! Linus is a 2 year old domestic shorthair kitty cat! His family fostered him as a kitten and then fell in love and had to adopt him! While we have only known Linus for a few years, his family have been bringing their pets to Colonial Vet Clinic since 2002!
Linus loves to play with his toys and run zoomies around the house with them. His favorite snack is stealing his 17 year old brother’s special diet wet food! Linus’s mom says that his least favorite things are his dog siblings and, in true cat fashion, the sound of the shower running! Linus also knows his name and will come when called which his mom says is very convenient since they have so many pets!😘🐱
