The Atlantic County Animal Shelter is seeking rescues to assist with a large number of Chihuahua/Chinese Crested dogs received from a hoarding situation. There are both males and females. 2 males are neutered, unsure if any females are spayed. All dogs are scared and need socialization. All have been bathed, vaccinated, and heartworm tested. Please contact the shelter if interested. Pictured are just a few.

GOOFY DORKY DOG NEEDS A HOME! 🩷 This is my favorite shelter dog right now! He’s such a love! He’s a 3 year old Saint Bernard mix. He’s at Atlantic County Animal Shelter. They’re open daily 1-4 pm. He’s been at the shelter for months and would love a home!

Shepherd people or other rescues who can help?
Buster is another very deserving boy, he’s young, 1 year 9 months old, German Shepherd/Swiss Shepherd. He is nervous and overwhelmed and he needs help out of the Shelter. Buster is a great pup, highly intelligent, eager to learn, dog friendly, but he needs the safety of a 501(c)3 Rescue.

Look at this sweet 8 month old boy! Connor would love a forever home to call his own! He’s been in foster so we know all about him! He is a little timid, but truly has the goofiest personality ever! He is silly and the biggest sweetheart ever. He is dog friendly and loves to romp around with other puppies and dogs. He’s great and gentle with everyone he meets.
He’s currently located in Millville Nj.

Here are some of the dog friendly / dog social dogs of Atlantic County Animal Shelter. They do perfectly during play groups with other dogs.
We will pull any of them with foster!
They can also be adopted at the shelter.
Hank (tan and white meatball, mostly white), Pablo (black dog sprawled out), Hughie (brindle puppy) ChimChi (female also tan meatball lol), Arya (grey dog)

Mamas update!
Mamas had her heart surgery in June with Garden State Vet Hopsital. She is doing very well and she recovered nicely. I wanted to wait to make sure her fluid didn’t return / successful surgery before giving this update (it was successful). She has more energy now and can play and run without her heart feeling suffocated. I am grateful for those who were involved in her care. Thank you to all of the amazing individuals who donated, supported, shared, stayed involved through out. Thank you Inked In Eden for doing an awesome fundraiser and thank you MudHen Brewing Company for doing a great event for us. That was a long journey starting in the fall with Mamas but we saw it through because Mamas deserved it! A huge thank you to Dr. Nordt with Atlantic Animal Health Center in Galloway, Mamas very first vet who went above and beyond for her beginning with the initial diagnosing and care and staying involved throughout.
Mamas can now go on to live a normal happy dog life!
