Golly I’ve been so busy!
October 15th is the deadline for tax extension clients.
Things are ramping up for numerous repairs and improvements all over the ranch. Lots of meetings with my trusted contractor, gathering estimates, ordering products and materials.
I took on a new accounting client and if I tell you this is a monster of a job, believe me it’s huge!
The days are flying by, I’m barely squeezing in time to work Gus and begin training with Buttons.
But evenings are my time to relax and be present at the barn with my cherished four legged family. It’s also a great time to continue practicing with my new camera.
Here’s a few pictures of a typical evening at the barn, decompressing, caretaking, visiting, being totally present in each moment.
And just like that, I’m transported to my happy place, I feel my spirit refueled, my brain is quieted, my cares are assuaged.

Lauren and I went to the Mall of America for some retail therapy, then off to lunch at Turtle Bread. Next was a hike at Fairy Falls Park followed by a walk around historic Stilwell. What a great day!

Pictures don’t do this beautiful cathedral justice! It is a breathtaking history filled cavernous cathedral with architectural delights everywhere you look.
The other photos in the video are from The St. Paul Union Pacific Vertical-Lift Rail Bridge, viewed from Harriet Island/Raspberry Island with the Wabasha Street Bridge. We walked all along the mighty Mississippi enjoying a sun filled afternoon with some perfect weather. #

Well I picked up (finally!) the nicest Trek EX3 Hybrid 🚴‍♂️ in a most excellent used condition. Arlo 🐶 is filled with glee that we’re going SO much faster 💨 than just walking back and forth to the barn. 🐴🐴
Found my bike tools from back in my Dave Scott Centurion Ironman days ❤️ I still miss that bike! But this little Trek hottie is pretty slick, I gotta say!
Ordered a new helmet and a gel seat cover (current seat situation on the Trek is just plain OUCH!😣)
Sometimes the best purchases are the new adventures! 💯 Now where’s that darn padded seat?! 😂
